But it's the squat and deadlift that wins the meet.

True that, but recently my bench has just blasted up (hrm wonder why :D ) and I'm on target to hit 500lbs in a couple of weeks. So no worries there...

my arms have fluctuated from 17.5 to almost 20" the past year or two.... let's say I was happier with 20" arms, but not happy with my waistline at the time, lol ;)

And admittedly.... 17" truly cut arms do look pretty big, anything above that is great
I had my arms up to 21 3/4.......at 247lb... 37 in weist u can c them in the pics section.....then i started to drop weight for the summer and at 227lb my arms were 20 1/2, weist 34 in and 19 1/2 cold and u can aslo c the pic of the transformation 6 months later....
its true for me also for every 10 pounds i gain an inch in my arm , i also super set my bis and tries
just wanted to drop my 2 cents

is it possible to increase arms without having to increase the bodyweight that much???

No I don't think so. Plus how weird would you look with 20inch arms and a 45 inch chest

i superset bis and tries also, this works good for me. arms should be measured cold and not after a pump.

Shirted. Met a 198er this weekend at a meet that could do ~500 raw, and he only hit 518 at the meet, he was using a crappy inzer HD shirt...

Unfortunately I missed my first attempt at 473 (brought the bar too low, the bar came out of line with my elbows, couldn't press it off my belly) so I retook 473 and crushed it, I could have jumped but it sucks missing a weight and taking a heavier weight as your next attempt. I'm going to try 500 in the gym in a couple of weeks just to prove to myself that I am capable of doing it.
