Are opened bottles and/or expired supplements ok to take?

I've just found some opened bottles of supplements I took last year that still have leftovers in them and was wondering if they're still safe to take? They've been open for about a year and some are now expired...
 
As long as they were kept well they should be ok
 
^^ Yep. As long as they were kept in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, they should be ok.
 
I buy 90% of my supps in bulk at, near, or after expiration.

I'm a true junky
