Are olympic shoes suposed to be super tight?

So are they supposed to be super snug or did I order too small? I went half a size smaller than my every day nikes. Adipower weightlifting shoes btw. People don't lie, these are really narrow lol

And do they break in after a few sessions? If they do, I could imagine these actually working out. If not, I'm probly gonna have to go through the long process of exchanging with Adidas for another size.

I've read some reviews with people saying they should have ordered their actually shoe size, and not a half size smaller.

They are supossed to be snug and secure. I'd say as long as your toes aren't crammed and you still have a little space up there, they're good. I can't keep my Nike Romaleos on for more than a half hour because they aren't comfortable. My VS Athletics could stay on all day, but my foot shifted a bit in them.

My pinky toes are just slightly crammed due to how narrow these are. Everything else is almost perfectly snug. Intra shoe movement is gonna be pretty much impossible

Did your romaleos break in at all? Or we're they just a pain in the ass since day 1? If they give even a little, then these will probly work. Otherwise I'm returning for some romaleos because of the wider toe box and that snazzy yellow coloring

bolt10 has the Adidas. Maybe he knows.

The Romaleos are tight, but squatable. VS was definetly wide. I don't wear the Nike's much because I decided the week after I dropped $180 on them, that I'm gonna be a ultra wide stance squatter lol They're good though.

I'm gonna give them a shot tomorow and see how they feel, im trying to avoid the return process. But if it happens, I'll probly be go with the romaleos instead

Does the top strap ever touch the bottom of the shoe on yours? That's the biggest reason I didn't go with those originally

Mine are a little tight too, but I just wear them. I believe they are suppose to be tight(narrow). If I got a half size large they would be too loose. They should be much tighter than regular sneakers anyway.

Did yours ever have a break in period when you first got them? That was my idea too when I ordered this size

I ordered the same size I normally wear for the Adidas. :o

They did break in. I have wide feet, but found that they formed around my foot more as time has gone on. Fit like a glove now. :D

First off, thank you everyone for your responses

I tried them on again with some super duper thin Nike socks I have. They fit a lot better with these socks, probly the way they're supposed to fit. Id say after the break n, they will literally fit like a glove

I'm contemplating plan B though. This would be me ordering the romaleos and using these for the week until they arrive. Then picking between the two and returning the other

Yeah its been about 3-4 months from what I can remember. They started to feel better the more I worked out in them. I also tie them much more loose than my regular sneakers and I don't tighten the straps too much either. Rouge Do-wins by the way. Best gym investment I've ever made.

I was originally going to get those because they passed my "buy nice instead of twice" mentality. But since my gf was paying for these, she wants to put her stamp of style-approval on them. And the suede do wins just weren't cutting it for her lol
