Applying transdermal (TESTIM)

I have just started using TESTIM (my first HRT). I felt like I was wasting some of it by rubbing it in with my bare hands which involved washing them afterwards. After all, your hands absorb some. But then it goes down the sink. Probably not enough to make much of a diff. but I did'nt like it.

So now I use a ziplock bag over my hand, which does not absorb, & rub it in that way. Now ALL that comes out of the tube goes on my shoulders.

Another thing... This is even more strange & picky but I started using a foot scrubber to exfoliate my shoulders before i apply it. It's almost like a cheese grader but made for skin. I have oily skin & even after a shower I think my skin may not soak up as well. So scrubbing it is a lot like preparing a surface for paint.

Anyway, I'm convinced. What chall think?

Your actually correct when ever I've used androgel I always used a a rubber glove. Now the exfoliation part that you were talking about is also a proven fact to me at least, the fewer and thinner layers of skin that the medication has to diffuse across the more of it makes it into the system. So ya I pretty much agree with you.
