Anyone use those Omron BF% scales?

I orderd the 400 series and figured it should give an ok value at my bf%......well the friggin thing says 32% which I personally can't believe. It seems WAYYY higher than what I would have expected.

I mean I was 25% at the most out of shape point in my life. Anyone have any experience with these things?

Bioimpedance is a terribly inaccurate way of measuring bodyfat...what I wanna know though is how accurate the Omron scales are for weight...I need a good scale...

I bought some of those bioimpedance scale things. They told me I had 19% BF, which I'm inclined to doubt. Goiing by the visibility of my abs I'd always assumed I was somewhere in the 12-14% range.

I have one that you hold in your hand, its on the norm off some due to differant reasons but I feel it helps me guess better then just using the mirror.

I'm currently at 15% and I was around 22% last Friday. try measuring first thing in the morning before you eat and after you piss. In case anyone wondering I'm dieting down to 8%

I emailed them and got a long winded response......
LOL.....plus I asked our personal trainer at work and she said they have been known to be up to 15% off. LOL LOL. WOW.

I have the handheld Fat Loss Monitor Model 306C. I personally have had pretty accurate results with it

Those things are pretty iffy imo.

There is a fancy one at my gym that tells you body fat, skeletal muscle, and what color your poop is and all. It had me at 36% bodyfat.

Then there is the one at my home that has me at 27% bodyfat.

Based on how I look I am more inclined to believe that I am closer to 27% than 36%.

Regardless I use them to track my progress. As long as you use them at the same time of day under as close to the same conditions as possible, they can be useful in helping you gauge your progress.
