Anyone here do spinning or use a seated rowing machine for cardio?

Have been adding in the above for my workouts for two months now and I notice two things:

1. Squats weights are increasing. We do lotsa steep uphill training in a 1hr Spinning class and that means heavy resistance settings and quads get a workout. Core too.

2. Forearms and upper back/lats are thicker. I set the row machine on the heavy setting and now do 5000 meters. About 40 minutes.

Well thought to pass it on in case you wish to vary your routine.

I've done both and both are freaking killers!!!! ?

We have a water rower machine at my gym and I religiously use it as a 'finisher' after leg day. It feels just like the real thing (rowing) so I love it!

I love the rowing machine, it kicks my ass every time.

Another good option is the stair machine. So many different settings you can put that thing on.

I'm discovering the stepper. Not bad, beats the treadmill.

Also trying out battle ropes and the predator sled.
