i pinched one the other day and i am having one helluva time trying to get over this thing. i have been popping 800mg of motrin 3 times a day and trying to stretch it but it f#cking kills!!!

anyone have any ideas to try and work this thing out?

the pain radiates from the base of my skull and sometimes if i turn my head just right it makes me feel like i have a nasty ass headache.

I would see a chiropractor. I went to one and they took xrays of my neck and the bones were so crooked you would not believe. Anyways try not to take too many otc painkillers you don't want to end up like Tom Prince with a damaged liver. Also Ice helps.

Go to the doc and find out where in your spine it is pinched.

I have one in my the C6-C7 sector of my spine, the effect is that I have constant numbness in two of my fingers in my right hand. Get that **** taken care of. I stupidly ignored it for a bit and caused more damage. I am taking motrin now to address the inflammation (from being pinched!), but it does not seem to do much. Don't wait around, you might have something serious develope long term like me!

Alright before you fellas make this guy freak out, lets ask how he hurt his neck. Chances are his nerve impingment is being caused by a muscle. Lets rule this out before we scare the crap out of him.

If it's a tight muscle, you need heat , not ice. If its unbearable, go see your GP and ask for some muscle relaxants.

Yes, I've been out of the gym now 7 weeks now with a pinched nerve and a muscle strain in my neck/trap area.

It's getting better now but there have been times where moving my head more than an inch in any direction cause great pain.

I ditched the pain killers the first week as they were draining the life from me.

Good luck.

Sounds like the same prob I had where most of the muscles in my neck were all locked up, I couldnt move my head more than maybe two inches to either side or look to left or right. I was on muscle relaxers, NSAIDS, percoset, and sometimes Southern Comfort - this lasted for about 2.5 months. I was seeing a doc and a chiropractor, finally I went to a Chiro that specialized in ART after the first session I could actually move my head again it was freakin amazing. It cost me about 300 out of pocket but it was well worth it. I would suggest seeing someone who specializes in ART if you can afford it. After 3 sessions in less than a week I was back to 100% again.

well i made it to the chiropractor yesterday, he worked on my neck for a bit but said i should just take it easy over the weekend and use a heating pad. Then come back in on monday to work on it again. ive got a friend at work that had some motrin 800's so ill take those over the weekend.

its been a week since i have worked out and it really blows because i was right in the middle of my cycle of superdrol, 1test trans and 4ad trans. im up 10lbs and now im wondering if i should just stop the cycle till i get all healed up.

this blows ass

Whoa...you've still been taking Superdrol? (how many mgs?)

That was info that would have helped from the beginning bro.:nono:

Haven't you read about the unbelievable pumps this stuff gives everyone that takes it?
If I were in your shoes...I would go directly to PCT. The Superdrol will fight everything that you want to accomplish right now.

I love Chiropractors, they have their place;however, you may have been able to rectify this without going to him/her first.
Heating pad is good, rest is even better. Stopping the Superdol or at the very least scaling down the dosage is what is most important though, or this pain will not go away for you.

What sucks is that a Chiropractor generally cannot prescribe what I still think you need, i.e. a muscle relaxant.

Ideal situation for you is if you can run over to the $50 (or whatever they are now) Urgent/Immediate care center. Tell them this muscle wont relax for anything, it's been "locked up" for weeks now, and you are dying!

If they are true to form, they will stuff your pockets with plenty of Flexeril and some sort of Codeine variation. Enough to go around. Your troubles will more than likely be over by the start of next week in this scenario, as long as you really take it easy.
Hope things work out for you man.

Ive had a similar recurring problem, first stop lifting for as long as it takes to get better, otherwise it can become debilitating and you may never be able to lift weights again. Try a course of muscle relaxers, flexirel or something similar can work wonders. Use heat sparingly, you want it to correct itself and stay fixed without having to depend on extraneous devices. Once you have it corrected go out of your way to make sure it doesnt get screwed up again. That means lifting light for some time. These things worked for me.

I had to stop for a week when a similar thing happened to me once. I had a pulled muscle in my neck and back.

Went to the chiropractor and then got lots of rest + sleep (around 10 hrs a night), glutamine (when I used to believe in it) + bcaa's, etc. And I seemed to be ok the next week.

You don't want to make it worse.

Bro I Agree... Flexiril Is A Good Idea... It Will Put You On Your A*s A Bit But It Will Loosen Every Thing Up... If You Cant Get That Carisaprodal Will Work As Well(soma).. Either Way You "need" A Muscle Relaxer... And Definitly Stay Out The Gym!!!... Even When It Feels Better... Give Your Self Time... This Can Wind Up To Be A Reaccuring Issue... Good Luck
