i was thinking of pursuing a job as a firefighter. is anyone here one?

stepdad was a firefighter for over 25 years..
He loved it. Every firefighter I have ever met loved it..most have lung problems..ROugh on relationships..24 on 48 off or whatever the schedule..

The only ones I know are here in Iraq. Most are fresh out of the academy and getting paid large amounts up here. Perhaps this can be a stepping stone for you. It can be very hard to get in to a department from what I hear.
