Any science behind waiting to cut after bulk cycle?

I've read around on different forums that you'll hold onto more of your gains if you wait 2 to 4 weeks after a bulk cycle before cutting so your body can adapt to you new built muscle.

What I haven't seen is much of any science to back these claims. Does anyone have studies behind this? If those aren't out there, can anyone explain the Science (I'd prefer tests tho... Everyone seemed to know the science behind eating every 2 to 3 hours a few years ago...lol)

This has always interested me so would just like to hear from those who know.

Surprised no one came in to support this at all, I remember reading a bit about it around here and on bodybuilding. Com
