Does anyone have any data or numbers that show meaningful physiological benefits of suppressing cortisol? We all know that suppressing cortisol reduces stress and stress reduction reduces chances of binging/overeating/fat retention etc. But is there any data that shows that suppressing cortisol allows someone to lose an average of 5 lbs in a month (I just made that up) compared to a non-user etc.

Thanks!

Cortisol is the means to deal with a stressor, like as insulin deals with blood glucose control.

Reducing Cortisol won’t reduce the stressor. It will have all kinds of negative impacts on the body though. That is unless you have a pathology with chronically elevated levels of Cortisol, which is a different kettle of fish.
