NIN fan here too. Has anybody ever seen the movie box set called closure? They got some sick **** in there man. Also there is another video set called ...And all the could ahve been. I hear that it's the best concert video out there. The Closure one though has all that trippy stuff in it though. I should know. :D

Damn, I might have to try and pick those up. I know they have some sick music videos. If you get a chance to download some NIN music videos, do it. They are some the most artful uses of film I've ever seen. Favorite videos: (un-edited versions) pinion, closer, happiness in slavery.

Yes, I'm also a fan but I haven't seen a lot of hype about it yet. I just knew that he finished it in mid-January.

Well, by hype I mean between fans...he really never got much mainstream attention...esp after the mid-90s

The clousure box set is awesome. My wife (also a fan) bought for my birthday a while ago. A must for all NIN fans.

Hopefully it will be released on DVD soon...

Yes, it will be actually. On NIN's website, it states this. It would have been released already, but some technical things that Trent and the others were going through has held it up a tad.

Yeah, from what I've heard, The Fragile (1999) was a flop. It's too bad too cause that is definitely one of the greatest albums I have ever heard in any music genre. I think the majority of his fans at that time were confused by the way the album branched out. They wanted more hardcore angry stuff I think., not cellos and violins. The Fragile was a work of genius.

Man, it's cool to see so many NIN fans here.

What I'm really waiting for is something called The Tapeworm Project; Trent Reznor teams up with Tool. If this isn't just a rumor it will prove to be amazing I'm sure. I know Trent has worked with Maynard (Tool, APC) before. He helped on the song Passive from the album eMOTIVe by APC.

Dude, I'm the biggest Tool fan you'll ever know. I have everything under the sun from Tool, APC. I was able to see them in a few shows sometime back. It was truly an experience to say the least.

What's your favorite Tool album? Mines' probably either Aenema or Undertow. Talk about true composition, MJK and co. have talent beyond talent. That new passive song is definately one of APC's best IMHO. I also kinda like 13th step a tad better than Mer De Noms. But they're all kick ass w/o a doubt. Emotive was a good project to have to keep devoted APC/Tool fans coming back for more.

I can't believe The Fragile did poorly. One of the greatest expressions of art I have in my collection.

Side note: Filter's new album is close to being done and out. Good stuff coming out this year.

This is really very cool.....

Honestly didnt know there were this many people out there who valued "The Fragile" as much as I do....

Also check out the delux edition of ...And All That Could Have Been...the second disc is some rare "accoustic" style stuff you never hear.....

His live show was by far the best experience Ive had at a concert....Hands Down...

I don't think a day goes by without a Tool or APC song being played in my house. My favorite Tool album is Lateralus. Passive is definitely a great song, I listen to it almost daily. Emotive was a truly inspiring project I think and made me happy to see the band branch out. It's also nice to the band, who in non-listeners eyes are probably seen as a bunch of reckless drug users, take a stand on political issues. 13th Step is also my favorite APC album. Damn these guys. Just thinking about their music inspires me.

I have never seen NIN or Tool live. But oh how I would love to.

Yeah, I remember when Tool and NIN toured together one year. I think it was like 1997 or 98? I saw them together then, then I saw Tool at Woodstock 98. And then the last time I saw Tool was back in 2002 when they were finishing up their tour for Lateralus. 4 degrees was simply mindnumbing man.....I was almost in tears when I had to leave after the show....lol...I'm serious. It's just so ambiotic, melancholy, etc. at the same time. Although even heavy metal seems to calm me anymore rather then excite me as do most....go figure.

Pretty Hate Machine is still by far my favorite
Can you believe that came out back in 89 or 90? That's the year most of these High School kids were born--you know, the ones who think they're "punk rock" because they like Slipknot or whatever.

I miss the 80's and 90's. Seems like every year just keeps getting worse. Not only in regards to music, but just everything.

All the music that gets played on these new rock radio stations....I can't believe that the younger generations are actually listening to it. If I were them, I'd be feeling very ripped-off...lol.

My older siblings and friends got me into all of it, and I can't be more thankful.
Metallica was my first love back in the 80's. Everything that has followed is just a bonus. ;)

Haven't seen Tool, but APC puts on a good show...NIN is simply amazing though...like I said earlier...

They just don't make bands like NIN, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, or hell--even Oingo Boingo anymore.

Then again, we DO have Tool/APC, and we've recently had Rage Against the Machine.

Well, RATM is even gone now. Zach de la Rocha left the others a few years back. He kept saying that he wants to do his own stuff, etc. In the meantime Chris Cornell of Soundgarden joined up with RATM - Zach and created Audio Slave. I think they both need to go back to their old bands. Also Zach still hasn't came out with his debut solo album...and he said it would be out like 3 years ago...lol. Looks like he made a bad decision.

I remember when RATM toured with WuTang Clan.....that was like 1996 or so...bad ass show man.

I cannot get into ANY of the new music. I mean, when I found Tool, it was a total surprise to myself that I liked someone who didn't spawn out of the 80's (or 60's and 70's for that matter). Since discovering Tool and APC about 2 years ago, the only other band that I have recently found and liked was Radiohead.

Just read that he has announced the US leg of the tour....as soon as I can get this confirmed Ill let you all know...

The Fragile was a great CD. I think it would have been NIN's best, but seems a little longer than it should have been (maybe a few too many instrumental or instrument-based songs for my taste).

Tool is moving along with their new album from what I hear. Maybe it'll be out before the end of the year.

I'm just excited that the Mars Volta has a new one out Tues.

Little Update for you boys....

Bought some tickets for a few shows....and heard some stuff from the new album....

Sounds like its going to be a good one....looking for ward to this May!!!!
