Good to see some fans on here...jweave23 said:big fan, but have not heard of the new album. Is it out yet? (damn I'm so out of touch anymore)
Wes Hopkins #48 said:The clousure box set is awesome. My wife (also a fan) bought for my birthday a while ago. A must for all NIN fans.
Yes, it will be actually. On NIN's website, it states this. It would have been released already, but some technical things that Trent and the others were going through has held it up a tad.Odessa14 said:Hopefully it will be released on DVD soon...
Yeah, from what I've heard, The Fragile (1999) was a flop. It's too bad too cause that is definitely one of the greatest albums I have ever heard in any music genre. I think the majority of his fans at that time were confused by the way the album branched out. They wanted more hardcore angry stuff I think., not cellos and violins. The Fragile was a work of genius.Odessa14 said:Well, by hype I mean between fans...he really never got much mainstream attention...esp after the mid-90s

I don't think a day goes by without a Tool or APC song being played in my house. My favorite Tool album is Lateralus. Passive is definitely a great song, I listen to it almost daily. Emotive was a truly inspiring project I think and made me happy to see the band branch out. It's also nice to the band, who in non-listeners eyes are probably seen as a bunch of reckless drug users, take a stand on political issues. 13th Step is also my favorite APC album. Damn these guys. Just thinking about their music inspires me.lifted said:Dude, I'm the biggest Tool fan you'll ever know. I have everything under the sun from Tool, APC. I was able to see them in a few shows sometime back. It was truly an experience to say the least.
What's your favorite Tool album? Mines' probably either Aenema or Undertow. Talk about true composition, MJK and co. have talent beyond talent. That new passive song is definately one of APC's best IMHO. I also kinda like 13th step a tad better than Mer De Noms. But they're all kick ass w/o a doubt. Emotive was a good project to have to keep devoted APC/Tool fans coming back for more.
Can you believe that came out back in 89 or 90? That's the year most of these High School kids were born--you know, the ones who think they're "punk rock" because they like Slipknot or whatever.jweave23 said:Pretty Hate Machine is still by far my favorite
I miss the 80's and 90's. Seems like every year just keeps getting worse. Not only in regards to music, but just everything.Chippewa said:Can you believe that came out back in 89 or 90? If so...Call this a huntch...but I think you'll like this new album...jweave23 said:Pretty Hate Machine is still by far my favorite
Haven't seen Tool, but APC puts on a good show...NIN is simply amazing though...like I said earlier...Aeternitatis said:I have never seen NIN or Tool live. But oh how I would love to.

All the music that gets played on these new rock radio stations....I can't believe that the younger generations are actually listening to it. If I were them, I'd be feeling very ripped-off...lol.
My older siblings and friends got me into all of it, and I can't be more thankful.
Metallica was my first love back in the 80's. Everything that has followed is just a bonus.![]()
Well, RATM is even gone now. Zach de la Rocha left the others a few years back. He kept saying that he wants to do his own stuff, etc. In the meantime Chris Cornell of Soundgarden joined up with RATM - Zach and created Audio Slave. I think they both need to go back to their old bands. Also Zach still hasn't came out with his debut solo album...and he said it would be out like 3 years ago...lol. Looks like he made a bad decision.Chippewa said:and we've recently had Rage Against the Machine.
And where is that?bioman said:Maynard lives pretty close to where I'm at.
