Any big benefit to doing reverse curls cross body?

I tried it today just to switch it up from hammer curls and felt a huge pump in my arms, but apparently I must be the only person on Earth that does these, since all I can find is info on curl body hammer curls.
 
Seems like that would add a little extra stretch to the brachialis, but don't see any huge benefit compared to a regular reverse curl.
 
John Meadows occasionally prescribes them in his programs. Just another tool in the box. I feel hammer curls are tricky to find a good groove with sometimes so whatever variation of them you feel the best connection with, stick with it.
