Anxiety and how to help calm it

iv noticed some anxiety ever since i started preworkouts way back in the day before that i couldnt recall any

now i notice it almost on the days i dont take a stim or workout as 6 days of the week i do take one and lift

Thanks McCrew. I'll keep that in mind too. I honestly think it is the T3 that is causing it lately. Sounds funny that it would be that, but awhile back I was using Clen and T3 and it kicked in my anxiety. I dropped them both but really thought it was the Clen that was causing it.

T3 at only 25mcg made me moody, irritable and induced what could be considered bouts of anxiety (not certain it was clinical anxiety).

I'm a low carb guy and wonder if T3 eats carbs too effectively and thus, contributed to T3's adverse effects on my mood.

BPS adrenosurge would do you well brother! It puts me in a calm mood.

I just read the ingredients. Sounds like a stellar product.

I especially like this part and it's claims to compare to the strongest anxiolytic out there (Diazepam aka Valium).

""Asparagus Racemosus Extract 100mg

Asparagus Racemosus is a particular species of asparagus used in Ayurvedic medicine for several purposes, including the alleviation of nervous disorders.

Working through optimization of GABA and serotonergic signaling, it has been shown in research to have similar anti-anxiety properties to Diazepam without the sedating characteristics (1,2). It has been shown to decrease elevated plasma levels of corticosterone and norepinephrine, acting as an adaptogen to favorably modulate stress pathways (3). When rats were exposed to chemical and physical stressors, pre-treatment with AR prevented elevation in blood glucose (a common secondary effect of high cortisol), triglycerides and lipid peroxidation. Researchers labeled it as having anti-stress properties (4,5). Rats have also demonstrated better memory retrieval, and better performance during stressful maze tests (6). In addition, AR has been shown to be an antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and neuroprotective (6–8).""

Thanks buddy! Have you had a chance to try it?

Nope :)

I just tried a picamilon phenolic combo from SNS 1.5 grams and 300 mg. Best sleep I have ever had.

All right guys/gals wasn't sure where to post this so hopefully here works.
I've delt with anxiety for years. I took Celexa for a long time which seemed to work fairly decent. Recently my doc switched me to Lexapro which works pretty good, but lately my anxiety has been pretty high. I know some has to do with certain supplements I take, which I change up to help avoid it but I have had a lot of stress lately which seems to kick it in. I can get Xanax if I want but would rather not.

So the question is what have you guys used naturally to help? I believe somewhere I heard St. Johns Wort helps, but I am not sure. Any suggestions??
what worked better for e than anything? KAVAKAVA!
srsly,,, google "kava kava" I highly rec it for sleep, anxiety and mood. lighter doses for anxiety and higher for sleep.

I avoid pharms at all costs and benzos especially. I keep Relora around for restless nights or particularly stressful days and 2x 300mg caps are akin to taking a 10mg valium for me. I just melt into the couch and feel amazing.

I might need to pick this up.

Also, do you need to use ani and alpha-gpc daily for the social benefits you described or as needed?

I use Alpha GPC daily. Aniracetam has acute anxiolytic effects, so it can be taken as needed. It is quite powerful in this regard. For cognitive benefits, it should be taken daily.

I'd recommend pregnenolone for anyone over 40 that is feeling anxiety.

Gotcha. What brands of those 2 do you use?

I'm not over 40, but have kicked around the idea of getting sublingual dhea and preg to compliment my TRT, but I'm waiting until my Androgel is at the highest dose my doctor will provide, so another couple months.

Have you tried passion flower? Thoughts?

venlafaxine and duloxetine work on day 1. i found duloxetine more calming, despite being energizing. i think venlafaxine is indicated for anxiety but duloxetine is quite similar and it works very fast. unfortunately i got stomach Problems for it. i wasn't taking it for anxiety but i felt i was much more balanced.

I use it nightly and love it.

I am also a fan of passion flower. I only use one 350mg cap when I get home from work or pre-bed. It works really well just taking the edge off IMO. The passion flower liquid extract had little to no effect on me though.

Ven can make me nauseous, but in smaller doses, gtg. Haven't tried dul.

Yeah, I picked some up and also enjoy it. Have either of you noticed any tolerance or need for cycling?

No. I used it ED. :)

That said, every supp would be wise to cycle. But I am horrible at doing so.

I have not noticed any tolerance issues with it. I still only use one 350 mg cap and I have been using it for 2 years now. I usually use it 4 out of the 7days a week so I have no need to cycle it.

Tianeptine ...best, non sedating anti anxiety sup that works for me. Great first thing in the morning with a coffee
Actually giving this one a try to see how I respond ;)

its a mild maoi-inhib. mix with valarian root or other herbal sleep or anxiety herbs for stronger effects

I just bought some tianeptine and going to evaluate. Going to stop ashwagandha and ani for a mini wash out and then start taking this 12.5 mg 3x daily.

So I stopped the ashwagandha and aniracetam and going to start 12.5mg 3x of tianeptine daily beginning tomorrow.

One note about stopping the ashwagandha and ani is that on days 5 and 6, I found myself back in the position of actually getting a little anxious about speaking to a group of execs that I do so routinely. Very controllable, but I was playing my words over and over before speaking and I rarely find myself doing that anymore. Nothing major, but I did take note.

Noticed something similar when I stopped ashwagandha to try holy basil and then relora (already starting back on ashwagandha today). Hopefully tianeptine is a quick acting and effective substitute for you. Most of what I read about it mainly mentions its antidepressant effects. So, it will be interesting to hear about any effects on anxiety it might have.

I bought both bulk powder and capsules and I will say that the taste of the powder is horrible. Only a tiny 12mg scoop leaves a taste that I cannot get out of my mouth even after a scoop of peanut butter. Caps may be the way to go, but I want to assess both companies.

This is great stuff. I take it occasionally but find I need to up the dose to 12.5mg x 5 daily. 2 of the doses I double up and late afternoon dose I just take 12.5mg. I also have to cycle it for it to keep working over time.

I've purchased both the bulk powder and used the boxed (pill) form in the past. When using bulk powder, I mix with water, store in the fridge and use an oral syringe to dose. Taste is not good, but washes away after chasing it with something.

Btw, this stuff works almost instantly.

Have you tried it pre workout? Would it work for that purpose?

I don't see why not. I rate Stablon (tianeptine) as a smart drug. But it's something that's typically taken several times per day, everyday.

I do feel some clarity on it, and clean/anxiety free positive energy.

This stuff seems very interesting. I have read, however, that the w/d from consistent use can be awful. Also, as a mu-opioid agonist, constipation will come knocking. Lol. (In many not all).
