Annoying little paunch

So I've got an annoying little paunch which just won't shift, it's getting in the way of my cut and bulk cycles as I can't bulk too much without it getting annoying and then cutting to the point where I lose all the fat in my face but it's still there is also annoying (top abs and serratus show up when flexed). I've completely changed my diet to be based on low to medium glycaemic index foods.

I'm aware of topical stuff to shift it but I want to ask if anybody has had their belly emerald lasered and if it has worked for anyone. Also interested in ultrasonic cavitation and people's experience of fat freezing, though I'm very wary of the last one. For me it would be a game changer if the emerald laser works as it would significantly reduce the time I need to cut in half and preserve the fat in my cheeks.

From a purely financial standpoint... I feel like you'd be better off trying out some of the topical stuff before any of these other treatments haha

It's not hugely expensive in the UK, alot of people here eat a shocking processed food diet so there's alot of demand for aesthetic clinics some of whom use a high client turn over low price company model. Others of course focus on high end clients but then once the price goes too high lipo becomes an option. Anyway I've found a mid level clinic but was curious if anyone had experience of these.

I've yet to see anything topical or anything that claims to target belly fat do a great job. I think that the creams do have localized benefits but the expectations need to be very, very reasonable.

The fastest way on someone's fitness journey to get lean and maintain some leanness is to cut hard and get rid of all the body fat you need to and then worry about building back up. Most ppl won't diet themselves to the point they need to to get the lasting progress. But once you bite the bullet and diet off all that belly fat or at least a large majority of it, it's easier to build muscle without getting fat again. It really is probably the most successful way to go about getting in great shape. Every good bodybuilding coach tells their guys to get lean first. It took me several years of trying to recomp before I realized how nearly impossible it is to recomp yourself into shape unless you've already previously been in that shape or better. After I bit the bullet and cut 40lbs and got lean, everything since has been easier. I literally have to force feed myself to get fat now.

When you get lean first, you build up your metabolism too. A lean body partitions nutrients much better then a chubby body and we are only as lean as our fattest body part.

On the flip side, here's some cheat codes. Mitoburn for a non stim fat burner, if you can handle yohimbine then a small dose before "fasted cardio" you got to be fasted for yohimbine to work properly.

Something else that's not Natty but not gear either is SLU PP 332. 250-500mcg 2x a day. You don't even need to take it daily. After a week or 2 you can use it 4-5x week in a bottle could last you 3+ months that way too.

Also, switching up your diet to eat like a dog helps too. And what I mean by that is you eat a easily digestible meal over and over again. This is why "chicken and rice" is so popular for bodybuilding

I think we sorta had this talk brother, @Smont hit the nail on the head perfectly. In fact I'd take his comment a step further about lean bodies burning nutrients better. once you are lean, you can bring back calories slowly and your body will absorb them like a f'ing sponge and 100 more calories per day are going to be so much better applied to lean mass you'll be shocked. when I first started bulking in 2022 or 23 i was able to add like 1000 calories per day over the course of 4 months (started at like 100-200 and worked my way up every couple weeks) before I gained even like 2-4lbs. but thats optimal cause a trained athlete simply is NOT going ot gain more than 1-2lbs of lean mass per month especially not without gear.

But really man we had this talk. start a log here, lets see how the training and diet are going on a daily basis. if you want abs, it really just sounds like you need to commit to the diet and cardio.

for what its worth I'm finally taking my own cut seriously again and am down about 10lbs so far and it's melting FAST.

I fast on Mondays, keep diet pretty tight about 90 to 95% of the time and I've been getting 40+ minute cardio sessions in usually split 50/50 between bike and treadmill.

Appreciated, I took the previous info and applied it to myself the problem I have and why I'm looking for a short cut and posted about emerald laser etc is that I lose the fat in my face before anything significant starts shifting on my mid section. The fat in my cheeks makes me look healthy and youthful without it I don't look as nice. If I was going to be melodramatic I'd say it makes me look like a drug addict without the bad skin. For me abs is just not worth that look- it affects how people perceive me and that's important not only for my work and possible promotions but also on them Friday nights out pulling.

Ok I got a solution, we gotta get you on some test and dbol, cut to single digits and the estrogen and water weight will help fill out the face. We could also put some golf balls in your cheeks to puff them up like a chipmunk. And voila, problem solved.

🤪😜

Jokes aside, if this is purely cosmetic, the answer might actually be to put on more muscle.

Also, it's hard to figure this out because not many ppl have your problem. The death face usually doesn't happen untill your peeled to the bone. I'm not sure why your face loses fat before body parts do. Im a little stumped

Why me is a good question, part of the answer is to Google Indus valley famine survival genetics and my long term one meal a day activation of said genes. Just to put it into context I took up a weekend side hustle working as a labourer on a farm, the aim to get farmer strong. The farmer boss couldn't understand how I could do a full days physical work on so little food and just keep going. I eat alot more now, 4 meals a day as advised by you guys.
