Animal Pump review

Fabulous One

I was supposed to train Sunday, but I seem to have found myself a honeyhole loaded with 5-8lb largemouth and I just couldn't seem to stay away this weekend and ended up fishing pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday. I wanted to spend time with the wife and kid yesterday so I just hit it hard this evening and boy did I hit it hard. Embarrassingly, I have to say that this is the first heavy deadlift workout that I have done in probably a month in a half. I've done some pin pulls but not alot of full range stuff.

Anyway...first off thanks to Animal/Universal for the sample of Pump. I took all the pills in the pak along with some EAAs about 45 minutes before I trained. I noticed something almost immediately once I started, that I seemed to be already warmed up without doing anything. I did a few light sets with just the bar of squats and good mornings just to get the blood flowing and loosened up a bit. I hate all that dynamic mobility crap and anything related, it seems like it takes longer than the workout and don't contribute anything as far as results for me. So here is how my workout went:

Deadlifts
225x3
315x1
405x1
455x20x1

3" Thickbar Curls
100x5x1

Inch Replica DB Deadlifts
115x10x1

I was simply blown away with the Deadlifts! It was like I got stronger and stronger as the sets went on. I could have completed 30+ reps easily but I lost a callous around number 16 or so and I didn't want to mess my hands up too bad as I wanted to do some thick bar curls and inch replica deadlifts.

I can honestly say that I can see no cons in this product. Actually, I think I would maybe prefer it over Storm if...ah there is my only con, price. Storm is just more within my budget at this time, but I would have to say that I like what I felt with Pump this evening. Also, people complain about it being too many pills! what a bunch of sissies as I swallowed half the pack in one gulp. I really like going into my workout without a big bloated belly full of water!

So I give it a A+ since my strength never faded during the workout. I really like doing a heavy workout like that and coming in with a feeling that I could go right back out to the barn and do it again if I had to. It was almost effortless. The enerrgy seems to be very clean too as I never pulled a hard breath during the entire workout, no racing heart or jitterness at all. Most of the time when I take a stimulant I could care less about eating after a workout but I am starving as I type this so thats another plus.

Thanks once again.

8 pounders, eh? Bigmouth. One sweet gamefish... Anyways, all this from a single pack??? The sweet spot is around days 10-14...

Agreed, If you got those kind of results off the sample pack you should try a full can next bro. For me it was in the second week that the Pumps were insane and the drive was much higher.

I'm going to start some more Animal Pump tomorrow.

yeah I like the Storm alot, but for me, I don't know if it beats the Animal Pump. I had a great workout last night on the Military Press with just taking the Storm preworkout with EAAs. I ended up doing the following:

205lbs for 3x3, 5x2, 11x1 for a total of 30 reps in the Military Press. But that was all I wanted to do or had the energy for and the Pressing doesn't take anywhere near the energy that heavy deadlifts do and the other night I could have kept going if I would have had more time and a callous that wasn't on the verge of tearing off. Storm is good for me but Pump is better. Maybe Storm would be a good in between workout days supplement and save the Pump for lifting days. When you guys are talking about it taking so long for it to be fully felt are you taking it daily? Could one use Storm as an in between and still get the same effects?

Absolutely you can do that. A lot of guys use Storm for their daily Creatine on days that they don't workout and use Pump on days that you do.

Pump starts to work right away but it's affects for many of us are like a freight train. It starts heavy right of the line but builds more and more as you use it. Most report full affect in about 10 to 14 days.

Storm is a creatine product mostly and isn't the same thing as Animal Pump. Shock Therapy is however. Shock Therapy is a great alternative to using the Pump. Many report that ST gives immediate results but for most the pumps and sustained energy are not as great as they are with Animal Pump.

You can't go wrong with either product. The main thing to always remember is to eat well and get your rest. Then when you train try using a supplement for a while and see how you do on it before switching to something else. This way you find out what works best for you in the long run.

The old Animal Pump vs Shock Therapy debate again... Seems like you have made your mind up to which one you prefer. I'm a pump man myself.

HG has covered this, but you can definitely use Shock on your off days. The whole purpose would be to keep your body loaded with creatine so that you derive the most benefits from its use.

I have also seen many people do the combo approach as you have suggested. Keep us updated.

I've been doing some reading and alot of guys say that Shock Therapy packs one hell of a punch and they get pretty jittery. I have had that before from taking too much Ready4War and it makes me weak. The Animal Pump was as smooth as could be. The next time I have some jack I'll be getting another tub of Storm and Animal Pump.

It's a solid stack F, you wont go wrong with it. Time to grow.

Hg,

Yeah, I just hope it is growth in strength! Yesterday I weighed in at 218lbs at a amazing height of 5'5". I don't need to get much bigger as my Dad told me last night that I looked as wide as I am tall.

It all depends what your goals are F. Your exercise regimen plays a big part in what your body looks like over time. This stack is good for putting on more mass for sure but it is also great for recovery after cardio and other activities. I would not recommend Torrent if you were on a cut but other than that it really fits in as a post exercise beverage for any type of workout. Animal Pump however is great to use no matter what your doing. Cutting, bulking, power building, it's considered a foundational supplement.

That's a hell of a compliment from your pops. (No I am not talking about HG  )

As far as a growth in strength, you will be able to tell from more reps, more weight, and just more muscle endurance. Definitely depends on your goals though like HG said. First and foremost, the diet/training all plays a vital role as supplements can only take you so far. Seems like you got the pre workout supplement down... how's that post workout looking? I think that's the most vital time for growth.

I usually have liver tabs during workouts and when I get in the house I usually have some oats, fruit juice, fruit, and chocolate milk. Awhile after that I usually have some cottage cheese, yogurt, and blueberries.

Sounds like you got everything together. Oats are a staple for me. Ever think of adding Torrent to the mix post workout?

Have you ever tried using cottage cheese with your protein shakes... it's delicious... but addicting.

yeah I had thought of it yohead but honestly I just can't afford it right now. I think I may be the poorest ass around this place, but the good thing is the most of my money is paying off bills that will put me in very good financial shape next year. All I will have is a $500 a month house payment. Then I'll be able to eat however I want and take whatever good supplements I want without having to worry about it.

but hey if you guys ever need any help taking your supplements, just go ahead and mail them to me!

I got mine covered but thanks for the offer F.

Yeah food gets expensive. Just keep pounding away at the weights and keep good nutrition and big things will come your way.

You got that right yohead. That is the main deal right there. Consistency on the lifting and eating.
