Anabolic Pump/Recreate cutting cycle/log

It isn't that bad, it's just hard to get used to how thick it is. Buy the vanilla, I like it A LOT better than the chocolate. The things you do?... You get punched in the face by choice and you are complaining about drinking some thick protein. lol. You'll get used to it.

Superpump is good shtuff, I like Gaspari products (except for the new halodrol liquigels... that stuff is overpriced DHEA/Ecdysterone bullsh*t). Not a big fan of the way Superpump mixes though.

Feelin you on the SuperPump... gotta use a shaker bottle and its perfect. My girlfriend thought the shaker bottle said "SuperPimp"... At least she knows whats up.

I think Garret fell off ya'll... He's probably on the couch watching Belmont with a half gallon of Ben N Jerry's like... F this cutting BS.

Great workouts. Been feeling great all weekend. (I am really pressed for time, I promise monday will be different.) I gotta run guys.

So I got a chance to sit down and talk a little about my last few workouts.

On my back day I really hit my back up hard and I think that I didn't have a lot of gas left in the tank for Biceps... not really sure why, but kinda ran out of steam that day. It is the first time this cycle that that has happened... kinda noticed my strength gone on the preacher curl. None of the other exercises, which makes me think that I may have been cheating.

I had a good shoulder workout on Friday.

I feel like I have hit kinda a lul in my fat loss... I am haven't felt the effects of recreate in a day or two... not sure if my body needs more of a dose... I think I am gonna start taking four pills and see if that doesn't help me out... maybe my body is just in a lul, maybe I need to cut some calories. I know it's just barely going into week 4, so we'll see. I may have to run this cut for 12 weeks to get where I want to be... if so, so be it.

I tried PMing Mullet about cutting calories with AP... he hasn't answered me yet... does anyone reading this have any good ideas about calories to cut back or if I am just jumping the gun on the results issue.

My arms and shoulders are definately more vascular and cut, just my mid section is where I always have trouble. Maybe the Napalm will do the trick... we'll have to wait and see.

I don't find it to be all that tough to lose... but its definitely the last thing to go.
 
I've found HIIT to work really well.

I do HIIT. Maybe I should do it more times a week... I may end up having to change my schedual around so that I can get cardio in before I eat in the morning and then workout in the afternoons...

On an ideal week, I'll do HIIT on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning before breakfast, and Tuesday and Thursday low intensity for an hour (also morning before breakfast).

Do you mix up your HIIT, by the way? It's also very effective to change up the timing and the form of cardio. I do HIIT on the mill, bike and stair-climber, sometimes splitting my workout into two machines, and I also vary the durations (ie: sprint 30", jog 2'00" one day, sprint 10", jog 1' the next, and so on). Mix it up to keep your body guessing.

So I got chest/triceps/HIIT today.

I was feeling really lethargic in the gym, maybe it was monday morning, maybe it was just today. I slept fine last night... but I was dragging ass in the gym.

I think my mindset of what 15 reps should be and what I really can do is a little skewed, and I think I have been overshooting my level of strength. I got it up today, I was just feeling weak between the 12-15 rep range, I even lost it on a few sets. I can't complain about hitting failure though, it means that I am working hard.

I was starting to doubt the effects of recreate until I did my cardio today. I really am missing caffeine before my workouts, but I am making myself use ONLY the recreate. I sometimes have an diet energy drink in the afternoon to keep me and my hectic lifestyle going. I used to take NO Xplode before every workout, sometimes 6 days a week... I know, I know... bad stuff , high bp etc...

But man I miss that c-c-c-c-cracked out feeling. :aargh:

I also think I am starting to feel a loss of strength because I am comparing myself to my strength when I was taking MMV2, which converts to Stanalone... and lets just say it does what it's supposed to.

I am just realizing now that while stronger, I am not gonna be as strong as I was when on an androgenic cycle.

Then I did HIIT and my belief in Recreate doing it's thing was reinstated. I started sweating IMMEDIATELY. PROFUSELY. I had to mop up my exercise bike when I was done.

I also feel like I look thinner in the mirror again today. I have no idea why the mirror is screwing with my head so much.

Truth be told, my biceps and shoulders are MUCH more defined, so I know this stuff is working, esp because I only put the Napalm on my abs/lower back. We'll just have to see where I am at around week 8, and maybe I'll continue through week 12.

I am itching to open this bottle of Epistane though... :twisted:... still got at least a month, more likely two before I crack that bad boy open.

Oh yea, I decided not to run Halodrol for my first real cycle. I am gonna run Epistane. I'm gonna save the H-drol for a cut a little down the road.
After that... well I should still have plenty of supplies on hand after that, but we'll see if I still want to stick with orals after a few cycles. I'm getting less and less intimidated by the needle the more I read.

Anyway, I'll talk more about my feelings on AAS when I log my Epistane run.

Back to the subject at hand, my workout.

CHEST
I did all dumbbells today - I tend to switch every week from dumbbells to barbells. I feel they give a much different workout, and being tall and having long limbs, barbell bench is hell on my elbows if I want to get deep. I may end up incorporating some hammerstrength machines into my chest workouts soon. I need to figure out the way to break this chest plateu that I am on. My dumbbells have nearly caught up to my barbell press. I think I am going to start gripping the barbell closer to the center, probably about an entire hand's length or so. I have always used a wide grip for my barbell bench, as I was taking advice from a much stronger friend. The more I read, the more of his advice during my early years of lifting I have come to find is BS, but some of the habits have stuck. I have been slowly breaking them all down and almost starting over... except now i am in really good shape and am a lot stronger, so I guess it isn't starting over, just a new approach.

Anyways, CHEST:

Incline Dumbbell press - 60lbsx15, 65x15, 70x12, 75x10

Flat Bench Dumbbell press - 60lbsx15, 70lbsx15, 80lbsx8... lost it... dunno why. Wish I had a training partner for days like today. For a spot, yes, but also for just someone to b*tchslap me into getting pumped up.

Incline Flyes - 35lbsx15, 40x15, 45x15. Felt strong on my flies today, right after *****ing out on pressing the 80's... weird.

Low Cable Raises (upper Pec) - 40lbsx15, 45lbsx15, 50lbsx12

TRICEPS

Incline Skull Crusher superset with close grip bench - 85x15 Each, 95x15 each, 105x12, 105x8. Just had no more push after 8 of those close grip inclines.

Cable french presses - rope attachment - 80lbsx15, 100lbsx15, 100lbsx15.

V-grip cable pressdowns - isolated - 50lbsx15, 50lbsx15, 50lbsx12.

Seated dips machine - I did a set at 200 lbs of 15 reps, because I like to hit bench dips, but there was no bench to use today, it was busy. So I attempted this at the end of my workout, but I am starting to learn when my muscles aren't getting anything more from the workout, and this was that point. So I went onto HIIT.

HIIT
recumbant bike - 20minutes - sweated my nutz off.

My diet has been really good lately, except I cheated on Sunday and ate a Cheesburger, no fries and had water to drink. I was out at a show with my band and there was no way to bring my own food, so I ate a burger. I really enjoyed it :D. I don't think it was enough to skew my cut, I just thought you guys should know and all. If you read this far into my rants you probably are interested enough to care. I am eating some steamed veggies right now. *TONY THE TIGER VOICE* THEEEEYYYYY'RE GRRREEAAAT!

San Diego is my hood. North County, so I am about 25 minutes from Downtown SD and 15 minutes from Orange County. I can get to LA in 45 minutes. Pretty ideal location.

It's really a battle of wills with me, I usually want to stop at ten, and five more can get rough. I feel like I did a good job today though, I was lucky enough to catch my buddy who is a trainer at my gym for a workout. I am always more motivated by him, he is a good teacher and fun to work out with. I'm just lucky enough to be his friend and I don't have to pay for my workouts with him. Sweet deal.

So this is what I got.

Quad Extentions (warm up)- 35lbsx15, 35x15

Squat - 135lbsx15, 185x15, 205x15, 225x10.

RDL - 135lbsx15, 205x15, 315x6

Leg Press - 315x15, 405x15

Walking Lunges holding a plate - 2 sets of 20.

Nice leg day, bro! I'm going to be hitting mine up with those suggestions you gave me this coming Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes.

By the way... I tweaked my intake and am noticing some nice improvements.

I take the Recreate around 7:00 or 7:30, then lay down for awhile longer... AP down the hatch at 8:30 - then eat a PBnJ sandwhich on the way to work with double protein bread.

I'm only taking two doses of AP. One in the morning, and one at my last meal of the day. Consequently, these are the only two carbohydrate dense meals of the day. Lunch I'm doing salad / protein, and intermittant protein / nut snacks...

I look way more cut, especially in my stomach area, and I'm maintaining my weight at a clear calorie defecit. Hard to explain, but I really don't like eating food above maintenence, especially when I'm trying to cut.

I'm glad to hear that, because I've actually been kicking around ideas on how to alter it myself. I'm only on day 3, but my stomach looks a little bloated, and I'm thinking it might be from going from low-carb to moderate intake three times a day. I was thinking of only taking it and loading up on carbs on workout days, but this seems like a good alternative.

Play around with it... I hate the idea of chugging oats in my protein shakes... Too much carbs going in that I don't need to build muscle or burn fat.

Not a big basketball fan to be honest. I do root for the Lakers during the playoffs if I am forced to watch a game though. I really only watch Football and MMA religiously. I have little to no time to watch TV except maybe on Sundays, which is where football comes in. I make time for MMA because, well, it's bad ass.

But wtf. GO LAKERS!

Hey Bludevil! Good to hear from ya! Yea, I have been dropping weight, I weigh about 182-183 right now, so that is five pounds down in 3 1/2 weeks... not too shabby. I think I was going a little to carb heavy at the beginning with the AP, now i only consume 150gm of carbs a day if I can help it, 50 gm per AP meal. I have switched to eating A TON of steamed veggies. I think it's working. I am gonna get measured up tomarrow or Friday for my 1 month(ish) mark. I think my abs are more defined, my shoulders/arms/chest certainly are. I don't know if I have lost any LBM, it doesn't look like it in the mirror, and I have been MEGADOSING Xtend to keep my BCAA's up while I am trying to burn all these calories to keep my muscle from wasting away as little as possible. BF% update when I get measured. I think (in my estimate... I could be TOTALLY off) that I have dropped about 1% BF. I would say if I was 10% a month ago, I am about 9% now. I am in the BEST shape of my life. So, regardless of where I end up, I have made great progress. My girl (we have been off and on lately, we are currently on right now) says that I look really lean (compared to 2 months ago when we took a break). If I can hit 7% I will be ESTATIC.:woohoo:

I really like the Napalm, I have yet to try the capsiacin cream (I know, I said I was going to, I have just been lazy about it... I have to go to the drugstore today, I'll try to remember to grab it). The napalm seems to be doing it's thing, my love handles are getting smaller. I still want to see these last 2 lower abs, but I think it's gonna be the last thing to become visible.

I did ABS and 45 minutes SSCV today on an empty stomach. Man what a difference. I was sweating bullets. Totally drenched by the time I got off the eliptical. My roomate is off work today, so I am gonna hop in the shower and have him take some update pics.

Let me put it this way... I'm only eating carbs to avoid passing the f out on AP... 30 to 40 grams twice daily... May have some simple carbs right before a workout, but just in the form of fruit or the sweetner in my protein bar / drink.

Like GMG, I'm dosing up on XTend. Love this stuff. I fill a Figi water bottle with about one and a half scoops, then keep refilling with fresh water at the gym as I work out.. That way it gets more bland and less sweet near the end of the workout.

Well, I was hoping to get pretty lean in 8 weeks, but I am not sure how that is going to pan out anymore. I am starting to think it will be closer to 12... that is if I can hold off on running my first cycle of designers... I have gotten my hands on quite the stash and am ITCHING to break into it... lol.

I think I am gonna end up running a 12 week cut... that's what most people do for contests, and while I have no desire to enter a contest any time soon, I want to know what I am gonna be getting myself into the sooner the better. I figure if I can get my cutting down, over the process of a few attempts (this being my first real attempt), I will be in the right place to cut for a contest when my body is ready for it, say when I am 27-28... That is 2-3 years off, so I think I can add at least 10 lbs of LBM a year... (It's about what I have gained in the past few years of lifting, so I figure I can manage that, esp. if I am gonna run some cycles) that puts me at about 190-200 lbs LBM... and hopefully ready to compete on an amature level.

Yea, Xtend is the shizzle. I run way more than Timber does though, I dose 4 scoops prior to any workout and 2 scoops after any workout. I have been maintaining my LBM pretty well I think, we'll find out when I get measured. The watermelon is PRETTY tart. I like the grape flavor better, but the grape is WAY grittier than the watermelon, almost need to brush my teeth when I am done drinking it. I want to try the lemon lime next.

That cheesburger is looking right back at ya Timber. lol. It was damn good too. mmmmm. Can't wait to bulk...

I think its actually "lemonade"... I have it. Its really good. Kinda chemically at times, but covers well. Could confuse it for an actual glass of decent lemonade when you're really thirsty.

Have you ever tried to down BCAA's in a flavorless powder? *shudders* Any of those flavors does a great job in masking the terrible taste of BCAA powder.
 
Man, I need someone who knows how to pose to help me with these pictures... I feel retarded in most of them, and my roommate (the person photographing me) isn't any help, he thinks all of this bodybuilding stuff is pretty absurd (like most people, but **** 'em all, this is who I am and I could suplex most naysayers anyway), but at least he understands that it is what I am into, and will help me out because he is a friend. I feel like I pose much better when I can see myself (duh), but I haven't translated the "feeling" of the pose in the mirror to the pose w/out a mirror. Where the heck do you learn how to pose? Just from a more experienced bodybuilder?

I don't pose. I just throw bombs at people's head and it usually looks good. I think your poses are fine.

And f the flavorless BCAA powder. I don't need the 3 dollars it would save me every week.

Wise ass. If I was a mixed martial artist I would agree with the bombs statement, and probably stick with that myself. Not the sport I am talking about though. Thanks about the poses... I still think that they need some work. Whatever, contests are years away for me anyway.

Yep, F the flavorless BCAA powder. There is something to be said for being able to take down your supplements without gagging.
 
sorry bro, can't help you with posing either. My wife cracks up everytime I try and pose for her to take pics of me when I run logs. Maybe run a search or ask someone in the competitive thread. By the way, you'd be surprised at how much of a difference lighting makes when taking pics and showing definition. I look much better at the gym with florescent lights than I do at home under normal lighting conditions.
 
Well, I was hoping to get pretty lean in 8 weeks, but I am not sure how that is going to pan out anymore. I am starting to think it will be closer to 12... that is if I can hold off on running my first cycle of designers... I have gotten my hands on quite the stash and am ITCHING to break into it... lol.

I think I am gonna end up running a 12 week cut... that's what most people do for contests, and while I have no desire to enter a contest any time soon, I want to know what I am gonna be getting myself into the sooner the better. I figure if I can get my cutting down, over the process of a few attempts (this being my first real attempt), I will be in the right place to cut for a contest when my body is ready for it, say when I am 27-28... That is 2-3 years off, so I think I can add at least 10 lbs of LBM a year... (It's about what I have gained in the past few years of lifting, so I figure I can manage that, esp. if I am gonna run some cycles) that puts me at about 190-200 lbs LBM... and hopefully ready to compete on an amature level.

Yea, Xtend is the shizzle. I run way more than Timber does though, I dose 4 scoops prior to any workout and 2 scoops after any workout. I have been maintaining my LBM pretty well I think, we'll find out when I get measured. The watermelon is PRETTY tart. I like the grape flavor better, but the grape is WAY grittier than the watermelon, almost need to brush my teeth when I am done drinking it. I want to try the lemon lime next.

That cheesburger is looking right back at ya Timber. lol. It was damn good too. mmmmm. Can't wait to bulk...

I did abs today, and I swear my abs are never as defined the day I do them... it seems like they are "pumped" so to speak, and while they are very hard, they lose definition... I also ate breakfast right before those pictures were taken. Whatever. Week 12 will tell the tale.

BTW, my body feels great since I haven't been on Creatine/AAKG/Rediculous amounts of caffeine. I feel like after 2 more months I will be very responsive to the Designers, Carbs, and Creatine.

Biding my time till you guys get to watch me blow the f*ck up.... :D

Yea, I am a photographer, so I can make people look pretty much like anything I want... problem is, I can't take pictures of myself... so that is pretty much out of the question/too hard/not worth it to teach someone photography so I can cheat the light for my ego. hehehe.

I actually got rid of the chest hair yesterday, and it makes such a difference in how my physique looks. Kinda feel strange, first time I have done that, but it is a definite step in the right direction as far as looking ripped goes.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about it, I actually put up a poll in the steroid section for people to vote for my first designer. It was between Hdrol and Epistane. Epistane won. So Epi is gonna be my first run... I think I am gonna bulk for almost a year though, no more cutting twice a year, I want to put on some serious LBS.

I have my hands on Hdrol, Epistane, Pplex, and Mdrol :twisted:... I have enough I may have to sell some or let a friend run a cycle because I am not sure if I want to run ALL of it lol. Probably gonna run the Epistane, wait 2-3 months, run the Pplex or Mdrol wait 3 months, and then cut with the Hdrol... not sure if I want to put my body through that, but it's an idea at least.

Yes I have tamox already.

After that, well, if I still feel like I want more, I'll probably start researching injectables... but I am still kinda on the fence... if people found out, my girlfriend and family might not be so stoked. Ironically it's probably better for you than orals.

I'd recommend you stick to the 10/20/30/40 dosing and with the proper protein consumption, you should be able to put on a lean 8 or so lb fairly easily. If you really want to pack on weight, the p-plex would probably be the way to go, but it's best you heed the advice of the others and start with epi. It's very easy on the sides.

A word of caution, though. I recently ran an epi only cycle for 5 weeks and it really shut me down. Make sure your pct is nailed down tight. Nolva alone isn't enough. I personaly use clomid as well, though some say it's overkill. You'll definitely want a test booster and an anti e. Diesel Test is the bomb for test boost. Start it up on your last 3 days on cycle. Then you could go with the classic 6-oxo, ramping up as you ramp down on the nolva, or you could try something else. Someone recently recommended Restore, but I'm still researching it, because I really need to have a successful pct this time around.

I had quite the chat with Mike, the Rep for IBE about the subject. He told me Nolva was enough for PCT along with Post Cycle Support and Diesel Test. I think that is what I am gonna run. I don't really see why an anti estrogen would be a good choice since Epistane already is a Steroidial AI... and running an AI too long will shut you down and can cause estrogen bounceback.

I'm not gonna run clomid and Nolva together... I think that's overkill. Maybe for Phera or Superdrol, but not Epistane or Hdrol...

I am gonna dose the Epistane 10/20/30/40 and the nolva 40/40/20/20.

One question for anyone who can answer it... My nolva doesn't have ml markings on it, should I just get a new syringe (non needle) that has the measurments on it, or is there a better way to does the nolva?
