I'm very impressed with all the info and reviews about AP, i understand it's benifits for muscle growth and fat loss and muscle pumps but does AP have any benifits for cardio?
Obviously if AP increases muscle mass, that can increase speed and power and the shuttling of nutrients into muscle cells will aid recovery but what about energy and endurance?
Can the pumps effect your running performance in sport?
 
Depends on the type of cardio. If youre training at or above your MIT (minimum intensity threshold) then yes, AP would kick ass. MIT is if youre exercising 70% or higher of your maximum heart rate. Max heart rate = 220-age.
example: 220-22yrs=200, 70% of 200 is 140, so 140beats per min or more.

When you exercise at or above your MIT you use carbs as the fuel source (not fat or protein unless starved), and AP loads your muscles with carbs - glycogen.

So for cardio, above MIT, yes it helps alot.
For sport, any intermitten activity with a work to rest ratio of less than 1:3, like soccer, hockey, basketball it will help also because youre going to use carbs.
Any aerobic sport that's above your MIT would also benefit.
