Anabolic/Metabolic Diet Carb-Up Cutoff

Just curious as to others following something similar to the AD/MD, what is the longest you can low carb (<30 grams/day) before you see your gym performance suffer? Stupid as it is, I hadn't carbed up in 17 days (getting back on it) and today I'm starting to see my muscles needed a carb up.
