It’s like that, except I’m also going over all the phantom injuries that may or may not convince me I should go hard or not tonight…

“What was that? Did my back just twinge? Maybe I should reroute and just do arms…wait, is my elbow acting up? I think my back is okay…Can I push this to tomorrow night? No, if I do I’ll waste a day and impact my session in a few days using these muscles…**** it, let’s see how warmups go…”

Back in the 80s and 90s I used to drink a pre workout called Ultimate Orange, developed by Dan Duchaine, and was banned in 2001.
On my heavy days I would take a couple of white crosses, Ephedrine, with my Ultimate Orange, and tear it up. My wife called it my Orange Crack.
This made me think of that.
(Man I was young and that was stupid.)

Good thing we’re older and wiser now! Or at least older.

Also, Hi Tech re made Ultimate Orange. They bought the rights to it a few years back, supposedly everything is identical, but they swapped the ephedrine for DMAA originally, now DMHA. I’ve been curious to try it, but it’s kinda pricey for 16 servings.

My oldest brother is early 40s; he told me how he used to take a couple servings of Twinlab ephedrine and go do landscaping for hours in the blazing summer as a teen

Best believe it’s not really the same formula as the OG, whatever the label says. I actually trust Hi Tech; I wouldn’t trust the OG label.
 
When I was in the Marine's, we used to drink Ultimate Orange and head to Tijuana and come home when the sun came up..
