BUT before he was benching 2 wheels I would from time to time tell him to throw a 45 on the outside of his 25 when we were warming up so I could hit my 185 while he was hitting his 95 and then I'd correct it when he hit 135.
I knew exactly how retarded I looked but for a quick 3-5 warmup set on my way up I didn't care, lol.
now days he and I just hit the same weights up on squats and bench until we hit about 2 wheels.

I’m pretty strong with bar math & will always go up by whatever I’m feeling in the moment that day…so I will occasionally bust start stacking 25s, mix in kilo plates, sometimes end up with plates stacked outside smaller plates even. Nobody has any idea what the hell I’m lifting except me, barely, and it drives people crazy when you ask for a spot or liftoff because they have no frame of reference.

used to crack me up in the early xfit days when someone would go up in 20lb increments, 10lbs a side, for pretty much any lift at all, and never swap out their 10s for 25s or 45s. Before you know it the sleeve is stacked to the end with 10s but the total weight isn't as high as you'd think. Coach would give them so much **** for that. Yeah you have to swap it out at a point to get the bar balance decent - like if I bench by 25s up through 245, I’ll tear it all down before moving to 275. I LOVE my wife... that being said, I'll make 2 cups of rice in the rice cooker, dump into plastic container, wait for it to cool a bit and i cut it into 4's w a knife. 4 half cup servings gives me a post workout and a dinner carb for 2 days. "Hun, I stole some of your rice..." takes scoop from middle. C'mon just take a 1/4, its already divided LMAOits horribly accurate![]()
