Alphamine and Fasting with high body fat - is that ok?

I'm curious ... Is intermittent fasting good for someone with 18-20% BF and if it would stack well with alphamine/t2 ?

I'm sitting a little high on the scale right now and need to shed some lbs.

sounds like a recipe for success, but diet is always first and foremost, just because you have a smaller eating window and are taking two high quality supps, does not mean you can eat whatever. Make sure to find your maintenance calories, create a deficit, and train hard.

Pretty sure I got it ...

7am - Alphamine + T2 + Multi + Vitamin C + CoQ + Fish oil
Then my log - see attached:

whats your weight? what fasting protocol are you using or what is your eating window?

194 lbs. 17-20% BF. normal eating schedule.

7am - alpha and vitamins
7:30 breakfast
11:30 lunch
2p snack - quest bar
5p dinner
7:30p workout
8:30p protein shake

That's a regular eating schedule for me with an added piece of fruit in the am.

1. I would still suggest eating a gram of protein per lb of bodyweight

2. Your only looking at an 11 hour fast, which in my opinion is not long enough and does not tap into the real benefits of fasting(take it as you want, I am not a doctor, just experienced) I've had some good results with Leangains 16 hour fast, 8 hour feeding window (leangains.com, plenty of information)

3. I found alphamine to work great with some fasted morning cardio. If you do eat relatively soon after taking alphamine, do not ingest carbs. One of the main thermo's in Alphamine, yohimbine is pretty much pointless in the presence of insulin.

My suggestion
Wake up - Alphamine, T2
Fasted cardio with BCAA's not saying everyday, but throw it in a few times a week

push your first meal back an hour or two

on an another note, Alphamine does a nice job at suppressing appetite, and helps with the fast

Thanks for the advice. I have a hard time doing morning cardio but lunch and after work/dinner is much easier.

I am try doing this
7am alpha and vitamins
11am lunch/breakfast
2pm snack
3pm alpha - again
4p/5p workout
6/7p dinner

Repeat.

That looks really good, just stick to it and I'm sure you'll see improvements.

I didn't get anything from alphamine and fasting. I got down from 26%-21% with fasting alone, alphamine didn tdo anything but give me an all day buz

Don't even think about iforce fat burners and fasting = panic attack.

I got down to 17% working out 5-6 days a week (p90X) but I t was hard work.

Latest recomp is coming from t-x3 (DAA&Erae in one) and creatine, and eating as much protein as i can - loving it, and not grumpy like when I was fasting!

assuming youre talking about dexaprine?
did you try breaking the tab in half? a lot of folks have to split them into 2 servings.. heck, some people need to stick with just a half a tab per day.
really, its not a lot different from alphamine in its approach to fat burning.

Interesting - it's one I want to try as well. Got any samples to send out perhaps?

Dexaprine yeah, half a tab in the morning, my heart was still going into the night and I couldn't sleep so I quit after about 5 days. Wasn't for me.

haha I agree., you definitely need to start out with half of a pill to be on the safe side. I couldnt handle a whole one but it did get me cut up fast

I'm fasting with alphamine I'm telling you now it's making life easier when I wake up

Same here. it's been super easy in the morning no issues. I dont even look at the clock and wait for food. So far a week into IF and i'm liking it.

I've been reading a lot and I just want to make sure I got this: If i eat at 12pm, and workout is at 8pm, my final meal would be 9pm. That's no problem i dont have lunch til 1pm the next day. but could i add in a snack or two (ie. protein bar and a preworkout shake) to get my macros up for the day? I would assume yes, just checking as the majority of people eat once or twice to satisfy themselves more. I figure as long as I'm hitting my calories, it should be fine.

I jut found my answer on the lean gains site:

"* Meal frequency during the feeding phase is irrelevant. However, most people, including me, prefer three meals.

* The majority of your daily calorie intake is consumed in the post-workout period. Depending on setup, this means that approximately 95-99% (fasted training), 80% (one pre-workout meal) or 60% (two pre-workout meals) of your daily calorie intake is consumed after training.

* The feeding window should be kept somewhat constant due to the hormonal entrainment of meal patterns. We tend to get hungry when we're used to eating and maintaining a regular pattern makes diet adherence easier. If you're used to breaking the fast at 12-2 PM and ending it at 8-10 PM, then try to maintain that pattern every day."
