ALA and Anabolic Pump Question:

I have heard it isnt wise to use ALA and AP together? Is this true? I was using ALA as my main source of anti-ox, is there a way I can time it so there is no interference? Is it best if I look for other means of anti-ox help? Thanks!

Make sure you take ALA 1 or 2 hours apart from an AP dose.
 
Im just curious, I see this question alot with ala and a bunch of other supplements too, if ala is what they use for a anti oxident why not just use a different anti-oxident? Ala cant be the only anti ox out there.

May not be the ONLY one but it is one of the best and improves the efficacy of other anti-O's as well.

The dosing requirements for antioxidant use are actually pretty low and shouldn't cause any problems with AP. It is when you dose higher for it's effect on blood sugar and nutrient partitioning that may present a negative impact on AP's ability to block the glucose uptake of adipose cells. That being said, as long as you are dosing seperate like USP suggested I do not forsee an issue.

FWIW when I am on AP I use ALA at 100mg ed as an antioxidant. When I am off AP (as I am now) I take 100mg with every meal. Big difference.
 
Just to clear up, when we are talking about ALA, we are talking about alpha-linolenic acid, right?

I just ordered a bunch of almond flour, and was gonna add to my morning shake, but I'm moving it to my nighttime shake, since I use Anabolic Pump, morning, pre, and post workout.

Almonds are very high in alpha-linolenic acid.
 
One more question, what is the "life" of Anabolic Pump from the time you take a pill till the time you eat?

For example, if I take a pill and wait 15 minutes, do I have like up to an hour to eat? Or does the effect last longer?
 
When they're referring to ALA in the context of not using it with AP, they are talking about Alpha Lipoic Acid. Also, AP's effects are said to last about 6 hours after dosing, however they are most effective the closer you eat after 15 minutes post-dose (if that makes any sense).
