Akiyama Allegations!!!!!!

That glove shot looks weird. If multiple people are accusing him of "lubing" up, then most likely he is (plus, according to one of those videos, he seemed to admit it).
 
It looks kind of like a pad on the inside of his glove to me, but it doesn't make sense why it is there. It would only hurt you while gripping someone's body on clinching, takedowns, and the ground. It seems the media has it out for him whether he's a cheater or not.
 
The Underground has no credibility anymore and it's filled with trolls. Once they found out some pros posted there and Rogan named dropped it a few times on the ppv all the kiddies from Sherdog came and drove the site into the ground.

Tons of baseless accusations. Akiyama was accused of wearing brass knuckles against Saku too, as well oiling up. He admitted to using a lotion prior to the Saku fight but it had no effect on the fight. Believe whatever you want but the guy does have potential and I'd like to see him in the UFC.
 
I'm not judging him. Just the things that are shown are suspicious. Plus, I have always thought Saku as a respectable fighter. You could see him totally aware that something wasn't right during the fight. You never know though.

Saku has also been known to fight dirty including fake or half tapping amongst other things. There does seem to be controversy surrounding Akiyama but I wonder how much of it is due to jealousy . He obviously has potential and I'd like to see how he fares in the UFC.
 
Akiyama is rumored to be facing Judo rival Makoto Takimoto on NYE. He will likely be wearing mini tazers under each glove, lol. Just kidding. I don't know what to think of all this crap, but I've been a big fan of Akiyama's for a while, and can't wait to see him fight again.
