AAS and Bulk/Cut Questions

I've been reading on many forums for a couple of years now and I'm about to start my first real cycle. I am looking for some opinions or advice on best way to approach the diet aspect though.

35 5'10" around 15-16% body fat. Been training off and on since high school, lowest I've ever been naturally was 12.29% BF.

My long term goal is to cycle and maintain strength and lose some fat with enough time off (time off = time on) to start a proper clean bulk near wintertime (just because of all the extra good food and cold weather makes me hungry). With that I'm doing a 12-week basic Test cycle (posted it in another thread) but I am curious as to where to place my macros for this run of things. Should I even increase over maintenance? Or should I be in a slight deficit? If so, what's a good ratio to minimize muscle loss while on AAS. I'm usually on a 40/40/20 but I'm reading mixed opinions on AAS and macronutrient usage.

Sorry for the long and possibly confusing question but ultimately. I want to drop fat, maintain strength (not worried about size right now) and minimize catabolism over a 12-week cycle to allow enough time off until I can do a proper bulk around October.

Thanks!

Actually added a few 10ml sterile vials to a new order to transfer the gear from the sachets to the vials. Went with Mountainside Medical, if anyone needs any, they have a discount code right now.

You are not going to be catabolic or losing muscle while on AAS. Cut if you want, but if it were me, I'd take advantage of the enhanced protein synthesis and try to pack on several pounds of lean mass and you will probably lean out in the process anyway.

mehh.. it is harder, but you can DEF 100% go catabolic and loose muscle on AAS even with heavy heavy drug usage. Happens in contest prep all the time.. but it is much more difficult and the degree of loss is far far far less and you still look redic good haha.

Well, true, I guess I worded it incorrectly. Plus I doubt this guy's going to be in contest prep. At maintenance or slightly below, he's pretty much guaranteed not to go catabolic.

I'm definitely not planning on any competitions anytime soon. I am just trying to avoid doing any harm when I'm trying to work on the beneficial aspects of lifting. I've been injured twice in the past 3 years lifting so I know what it's like to not be able to lift, it sucks. My goal is to not rush the process, learn as much as I can and dedicate time to this. So no injuries, no catabolism, just some anabolic gains! Appreciate all the help guys.
