A weird Alpha Lipoic Acid question

I was just wondering if it makes anyone elses pee smell funny. My urine takes a very distinct odor whenever I ingest ALA. It is so distinct I guarantee you could give me a blind test of supplements and I can tell you when I ingest ALA based solely off the smell of my urine afterwards.

I haven't heard of anyone else commenting on this, so I was wondering if it's common or just me.

I never noticed anything with my poop, just my urine.

The only thing I can think of that comes close to the urine smell is anti-freeze of all things.

200 mg atm. Sometimes if I eat a particularly carb heavy meal I may take 2 caps (400 mg).

But it does it whenever I take anything with it in it. If I take a creatine that uses it as a transport, my pee smells. It's something that always happened to me when I take it so I was just wondering how normal it is.

Considering you seem confused I assume you never had an issue or heard of it?

I myself am dealing with a similar issue.

I dose about 1200mg-1600mg a day, but don't have an issue with my urine smelling like that.

I notice a slight urine smell change also.
