Id like to go toe to toe with that damned Herb Dean! that guy really pisses me off i dont know why i dont know how but i cant stand him and i think he should work at subway or something. Yes he has made one or two common sense stops but for the most part this guy is a f*ckin moron id like to get him in a thai clinch and knee his face to smitherines! :rant: sorry. anybody down with the herb?
 
Its pretty well known that herb dean is a tool, in all area's of officiating. He def owns the record for most screw ups, non calls, and unfair stopages in the ring.

I especially enjoyed his fight with Joe Riggs a while back. :D
 
in my first post i was going to say he should be hanged from a tree but then i realized he is black and that might be pretty tasteless. hah
 
I take it ref's dont have contracts with respective organizations, becuase I've seen both Herb Dean and Jon McCarthy officiate WEC matches as well...
 
Well, Zuffa owns both so being in the WEC would be fine.

I believe they can have multiple contracts; steve mazzagatti has ref'd all over, including the USA Pride events.

Refs in general are in high demand, and unfortunitly thats exacly when Herb is still officiating.
 
Herb has had some bad calls, but he is still a good ref. He is by no means my favorite, but he catches a little too much BS for some of his calls. His call on Mir/Sylvia was a very good one that looked bad at first, but after replays, it was very apparent that he made the right call.

Yup, they can work for any organization like UFC, IFL, WEC.

I also think Herb makes too many bad calls, but overall he does a decent job. I remember Dana actually saying that Herb was one of the refs he trusted though. He said in a title fight he wants, Big John, Herb, Mazagatti, or Yves Lavigne.

Speaking of people in authority I can't stand, have they fired that judge Cecil Peoples yet? He is absolutely horrible.
 
that fight between Taylor and Davis...i guarrentee Herb Smerb would have called that after dude got head kicked and dropped to be followed by a steady pounding....douchebag wouldve jumped his ass in there and stopped it. That Yves Lavigne is a good ref tho.
 
im glad i havent had to see this pricks face for a while.

...next thing you know he'll ref the chuck vs. wandy match and stop it early because he's a dumb prick that wants his grill smashed thru the back of his head.
