Before his death, Ted Kennedy asked the state of Massachusetts to name an interim senator until a special election could be held I think In January.
But............................


"Ironically, Massachusetts passed a law in 2004 requiring an empty Senate seat be filled by special election instead of a gubernatorial appointment as in most other states. That was done to keep Republican Gov. Mitt Romney from being able to appoint a successor to John Kerry if he won the presidential election."


LMAO, what goes around comes around. Now without that critical 60th vote, many are worried that Obama's health care is in jeapordy. Boo f'ing hoo.
