6 Week Fat Loss Challenge

Coffee increases Peptide YY in your gut, which makes it one of the best appetite suppressant you can use. Ironically, decaffeinated coffee may actually increase this effect vs. regular coffee.

+1 for this. If you read into the "warrior diet" it plainly tells you you are free to drink as much black coffee throughout the day as you want during their intermittent fasting protocol, mainly due to its appetite suppressant properties

Done. I've abstained from coffee except pre and now I'm going to start clean with my black magic juice throughout the day.

Link to the warrior diet?

I will here in just a little bit, I am breaking a law by driving and checking my phone.got a love the voice text. Very easy to find it by googling The warrior diet. Created by a commander in the Israeli special forces it is a 20 hour fast followed by a four hour window of eating. When you do eat there are a few specifics but it is not hard to follow. Surprisingly after a couple of days you are not hungry throughout the day. I could go all day with absolutely nothing other than coffee, a few raw almonds and protein shake after workouts, and then at suppertime I would smash a giant salad 16 to 18 ounces of chicken and or steak a few eggs plus A few extras in there. I lost 7 pounds in the first five days doing that and should probably look at starting it again

I actually have the book. It's really great because whenever you want to cheat you just tell yourself that in a few hours you can eat as much as you want.

Got rid of some bloat since yesterday -
261 lbs this morning. Heading out now to do cardio.

Don't know if I can do the fasting lol
May try it

Believe me, it works and after a few days of misery, you realize you can make it.

This. It is amazing how much society has us trained to over eat. I am not saying everyone should be eating 800 calories. But you can get by in much less than you think .. first few days of any fast are harsh. First couple weeks will have struggled that come and go. After that, it actually gets pretty normal with the occasional issue.

I think changing your diet around from time to time and allowing your body to adjust may have enormous health benefits in itself.

Agree with all the statements on the warrior diet. It was slightly tough to get used to the timing, but like everyone else said, it works wonders. I feel so satisfied during dinner and can still stick to reduced calories. It's like the best of both worlds!

What's the new pre? I'm sure you probably posted and I missed it. You're tough to keep up with!

Had an awesome back session with decent biceps. Pushed the reps and sets and it worked.
Today I'm sticking to about 5 protein shakes, 1tbsp of coconut oil, a half of grilled chicken, and some greens.

Thankfully I'm not having any hunger issues just some lethargy, which might or might not be supp related. We'll see.

Define legitimate.

That is a hardcore diet. Especially for someone at 260. I am impressed.

Actually that diet maybe a little too much. How lean are you tank? Unless you're 30% or more body fat I think the protein may still be a little bit low.

I'm staying strict as a jump start. I'll up the food slowly so as not to awaken the monster. I do keep my protein at at least 200g. I'm way below 30%. My optimum is between 225 and 230

Ahhh, ok. I had you around 160 g of protein but I guess I just assumed on how much chicken. 200 seems about dead on for your lean mass then ....still badass and I am impressed. You will be able to keep that up longer than you think. Especially with the coconut oil. I dropped all oils for my PSMF, but I wonder if the coconut oil should have been kept in there.

Can someone please splain to me what the coconut oil actually is for

The coconut oil is a medium chain triglyceride oil. It provides fats but they're shorter chain the most fat so they burn more like carbohydrates. But they can't be stored very easily as fat. They're also a whole bunch of other health benefits and some evidence suggesting that there's some antibacterial capabilities of one of the fatty acids in coconut oil. It's also Superior for cooking with versus almost any oil out there. You had to make sure it's not hydrogenated non refined virgin coconut oil though.

Will be buying it tomorrow, thank you. I knew youd come through for me

You could have just called me I would have explained it. It's also perfect for dieting because the fat helps keep you less hungry and improves your energy levels. You can cook with it or mix it in your coffee or even just eat it with a spoon. If you put it in your coffee though make sure it isn't in a styrofoam cup.

Haha! No styrofoam!! Check!! And I know, I just read it on here and figured Id ask. I try not to be the burden type.

I've been doing some version of this for about 3 years. I do very well on one meal a day as long as I have my protein shakes and coconut oil. Once every few months I throw in an extra meal but other than that I'm good. I think it works for me because I don't really limit my cals for dinner as long as they are from appropriate sources.

I had a nice Shoulder workout this morning at home in my Sauna Suit.. My weight is at 224 and I feel pretty good!

I believe it. This is kind of the strategy that I've used in the PSMF at times. Even though, sometimes I feel like eating a little throughout the day keeps me from getting hungry and can be used as a strategy too - but just NOT eating for a while, and being consistent about it, can really reduce hunger and it becomes so easy to follow and you aren't thinking about food so there are fewer temptations to over eat or go off the diet. I like the plan, some on here may think it's a bit aggressive. The only knock I would say is that, protein shakes are supplements, not food - it is better to get that nutrition from real food, and can be more satisfying. Ostrim sticks, beef jerky, and some other sources can be quick and easy and at least give you something to chew on and some meat.

I have a giant tub of it. Organic Cold Pressed.

Almost empty. :)

Wow, you sure use a lot of coconut oil...what are you using all that for again? I mean, geez, how many times a day are you, um, "consuming" this?

In honor of the return of "The Beast" - I am going to go spend 45 minutes on the treadmill tonight. I don't wanna do it. The Beast makes me.

Oh, and FireTitan - you know you're never a burden. At least not to me, your wife may tell you differently. haha.

That tub has lasted 6 months. :)

One of my favorite things to do is take a Rotisserie chicken and pull all the meat off. Put coconut oil in a pan and get it hot, add the pulled chicken and some chopped up jalapenos and cilantro. Add in some cooked brown rice and black beans and you're good to go.

BEAST73....I can't do what you do, but I just did 4.25 miles in 45 minutes. First time in 10 days on the treadmill. Legs are hurting, but I'll be aight. Welcome back brother.
