5-3-1 while on cycle

I wasn't sure whether to post this in training or here. I thought more people that do prohormones/injectables would be here. I have been doing the 5-3-1 training for a few months and love it. I was wondering if I could continue that on cycle or if I should switch it up since I'll be "on". Thanks for all the help.

Every time I did a strength training routine while on cycle, I made great gains in the gym, until I injured something. Typically, muscle responds much better than tendons/ligaments while on a cycle. Feel free to use any routine you would like, but try to be sensible with the strength increase to prevent injury. I'm running my 5th cycle right now and doing GVT. It seems to be working better for me, but it's still early.

Thanks bro! I had the same thought process about getting injured. I am doing Superdrol at 10mg for 6 weeks starting in 2 weeks. I don't expect huge jump in size but I know strength will go up. GVT is a very intriguing idea for training on cycle. I just want to get the most out of my cycle by using the best training regiment. Thanks again.

5/3/1 is an awesome program but, you need to self regulate on how you are feeling each day as far as the percentages you are supposed to lift that day. If you stick with an accurate training max then you should have a nice gradual increase with the weights and injuring yourself shouldn't be an issue.

I appreciate the advice. I have made really good gains with 5-3-1 but because of the percentages in it I didn't want hold myself back while on.

If you're doing things as dictated by the 5/3/1 system...you will absolutely get stronger with it. My 22 yr old son has been running it for a year now with only creatine and protein powder for supplements. He has put on 30 lbs and will be competing November 9 in a pwr lifting meet where his goals are a 540/350/600 raw. I can't imagine what he would do if on cycle.

Rock on!! Tell you son I said good luck and keep lifting heavy. I haven't taken any type of PH since last year. I picked up this training from a buddy and fell in love with it. The hardest things is doing the first week at the percentages it says do.

You have to trust in the program first. The formula for figuring out maxes is actually spot on from what we have seen with my son. Follow the set up and you can't help but progress. This program is great at building a solid strength foundation. Good luck and stick with it...oh and eat like an animal. Lol
