4-dhea undeconate as “actual” TRT alternative?

I am seeing a few companies…especially one that that apparently as lofty tech 🫣…. Are now advertising this ester of 4-dhea as a perma cycle TRT alternative.

Now not for bodybuilding purposes would this actually work? Like for getting test in normal range. Or would your body eventually not convert it? Or does the ester help that?

Only asking because I have seen like 3 places now touting this.

For what it’s worth one product has a little over 150mgs per tablet and it says one tablet a day or two for “advanced users”.

We can probably thank Hi-Tech for this

I mean, technically, it could seem possible to use 4-DHEA as a form of TRT. But I'm unsure why someone would when there are so many better options out there?

You can technically fry an egg on the sidewalk in Phoenix on a hot day, but wouldn't it make more sense to just turn on your stove instead?

Hey that’s a good guess on the main company lmao. I mean thinking of options:

Test
Enclomiphene/Clomid
HCG
Even Trest are all technically options

But if someone didn’t want to pin or rub cream (not me but this is a general post not directed at anyone just the viability of 4-dhea) that leaves really just enclo.

That being said if someone wanted ease of use pills especially if one a day works like the company claims (very very skeptical) it actually might be a great option for some people especially since anyone can buy it from a supplement shop. I might give it a try after my cut just to see and log bloodwork here. Might be interesting or a total dud. Who knows

Yeah... I guess it might. Not sure what someone would have against rubbing cream on themselves. But they even have prescription oral test now. So I assume this would just be a worse version of that? I guess if it's too expensive or insurance doesn't cover it or something? I don't know...

How similar is 4 DHEA to 4Andro

Id rather Arimahex for TRT than 4 dhea

jus sayin
Tons of things with rather this or rather that (arimahex is fantastic I have used it), the question is based around the viability of it and companies actually pushing it now. For example if someone was walking around with natty test at a 250 level, would a 158mg pill of 4-dhea undeconate put them in normal range greater than or equal to 300. Does the undeconate ester help enzymes involved? If you take two 158mg tabs a day would it put you in middle range test? I’m sure some of these questions could only be answered through bloodwork, but in theory I could see it being useful.

As much as I personally like TD’s, would an average non bodybuilder/fitness enthusiast want to smell like eucalyptus all day? (No shade to arimahex but the smell is strong even though I like it).

Pills are simpler all around. Especially if say a 55 year old only needs one to go from out of range to in range.

I might be going a bit in to semantics here, but

4-DHEA = 4-Andro, which is a 2 step conversion to test.

4-AD = 4-Androstendiol, which is a 1 step conversion to test. 4-AD is illegal in the US.
Yeah sorry. I always think of 4AD as 4-andro. But you get what I mean.

There were quite a few guys using the Alpha Gainz 4-Andro TD or the Iconic Formulations Alpha Four as a form of self administered TRT...I know many who got great results. But, TD is going to be much more effective in this regard than using the product mentioned above.

first, the undeconate ester takes up roughly 1/3 the mass of the compound...so, if you're taking 150mg daily, that's really only about 100mg of actual 4-dhea (I'm not going to run the full math to get the exact amount...I think it's about 1/3 ester though)

Second, TD has much better bioavailability without relying on the ester to improve it. also, td buffers delivery throughout the day without relying on the ester.

Alpha Gainz 4-andro TD has been discontinued in the US, but you can still find it cheaply. 150mg/ml x 30ml in salvo for roughly $50 - lockout and flexit nutrition still have some left. and many retailers in Europe keep it in stock

Alpha Four is 225mg 4-dhea per 5 pump application, but it also has 100mg androsterone per application. there is one member here who is posting bloodwork on their run of Alpha Four...their initial bloodwork seemed a little suspect and they are planning to redo it - it put their test off the charts.

We were never going to market them towards this application, but have heard a bit of feedback by those who have used it for this purpose.

Holy crap! That really makes you wonder...

When the real 4-AD was around I used to make oils with it. Was a lot like using test prop.
