4-AD in Penetrate

Just recieved 2 bottles of penetrate and have put 12.5 grams in each. I heated it up in a hot water bath to get the lumps out and it had all fully disolved when it was warm. However, now it has cooled there is some sediment falling to the bottom.

Its very fine sediment and will easily spray through through the nozzle OK. Is it OK to use like this as long as I give it a good shake before each application? Just wondering if it will be optimally abosorbed OK? When shaken the mixture goes cloudy from the particles, but they are so small you can't really see them. Just the cloudyness.

I think you need to get all the powder into solution to be optimal.

Not 100% though.
But, I just can't see how the powder would pentrate the skin if not in with the carrier gel...
 
12.5g of 4ad should totally go into solution if using 8oz of Penetrate. I successfully got in 18g fully dissolved. Here's a link to the thread about it:

It's obviously too late to follow those steps, so I would recommend heating it up in not-quite-boiling water and shaking the crap out of it. I'd repeat this several times, if necessary, and hopefully you will get it all dissolved.
I'm with jmh80, if it's not dissolved fully into the carrier, the carrier can't take it through the skin. You will end up with a light residue at the application site that will not go anywhere until you wash it off. If you can't get it all dissolved, maybe you could apply some DMSO on top of the original application site after application, and that might help carry some more through.
You could also try a high speed mixer after warming it up, I've heard some success stories going that way.

Tried sitting the bottles in a kettle full of boiling water for 10 minutes and then proceeded to shake them as hard as I could for 15 minutes non-stop, helped a bit but still around 1 gram of sediment in each bottle.

Will try giving it a go with a marble / ball bearing tomorrow if i can find one. Prob not worth the money buying the DMSO to get that last gram in each bottle, guess that'll be good enough if the marble thing does'nt work. a gram isn't alot to waste if I have too.

I disagree here. That's like 90mg per ml. Around 50mg per ml has been the sweet spot for me without leaving residue on the skin after application. 12g in 8oz will give you ~47.6mg per ml when taking the add'l volume the 4AD adds to the matrix into consideration. Any more than that and your wasting powder IMO.

Try putting a marble in the solution along with heating and shaking before every application. Ditch the sprayer and use an oral syringe for much more accurate/reliable administration.
 
Marbles are apparently farking expensive.

Being a cheap ass - I just bought some nuts over the hardware dept. Those worked fine.
