4.5 Weeks Out Pictures...

Congrats on the Scivation sponsorship sporto!!:clap2: They have just added what seems to be another great aspect, to an allready great line up!!

What does your split/routine look like? What about rep ranges or number of exercises per muscle group?

Just curious, how is your strength been throughout your contest prep? i always get so weak when i diet and it kills my motivation. BTW you look ****in incredible. First thing i thought when i saw your pic was "wow thats a lot of tren, winny, var"... but your natural, and thats phenominal. congrats on a truly badass physique. an inspiration to all us natural guys

You look great, good luck with the contest.

I see you do your cardio at night, that kind of blows out of the water the old system of you have to do cardio 1st think in the morning before breakfast.

Is your cardio always in the eve?

Thanks

Jim

Hey Jim,

Yes, there are A LOT of myths that hopefully I can help other natural athletes see that are just plain bogus marketing bull crap. This is one of them. Now, sometimes my cardio is in the morning and sometimes it is in the evening, but I always treat every cardio session just like I do a workout session. I surround it with pre/post workout nutrition just I like I do with weights. And for good reason, look at all the muscle I was able to keep while getting down this lean :) There is a reason for it...because carbs pre/post workout doesn't mean you can't burn fat...it's simply nonsense.

Hope that helps Jim!

What kind of cereal do you eat?

It's either Cinnamon Life or Fiber One. I'll use the Fiber One cereal if I feel I'm not eating enough fiber...otherwise it's Cinnamon Life baby! Honestly, just get some kind of bran based cereal and you'll be fine...just stay away from any of the sugary cereals.

I know at this stage you dont want to disclose much about your training but is it along the lines of DC?
I hope to compete in 18 months time and want to start on DC, any thoughts?
AZZA

I think rest pause sets are awesome. I don't agree with some of the aspects of the DC program, but the rest pause sets I wholeheartedly agree with. My training does incorporate some rest pause sets, but I don't revolve my training around a DC type of workout. It has its place, and a good cycle or two on a bulk would be good!

Thanks Swole!

I was very excited to become a part of that team. I had been using their products or a long time and believe in them. Now that I have been winning and placing in contests very well, I had been looking for some possible help in this life long endeavor...and I was always thinking that if I could have just ONE sponsorship...I would want it to be them :) I feel very fortunate and hope I can help them just as much as they help me!

What does your split/routine look like? What about rep ranges or number of exercises per muscle group?

I have several journals on various sites and one of them being this board. Although my training log on this board is relatively new, because I just started posting here, it details exactly what I am doing. Now, things will change in the offseason, but for now, at least you can take a look at my approach to a competition. So, have a look first and I'll be happy to answer questions beyond that.

Thanks for the kind words! I hope I can inspire and motivate naturals just like me and show hope that it IS possible to achieve great things in bodybuilding...it just takes longer than the drug route :)

Honestly, if you are losing a lot of strength on a diet, then I would serisouly question your approach. Strength will go down, yes, that part is inevitable. But, it shouldn't be a lot. As far as training for a contest, you can give a little on volume by cutting it back, you can give a little on frequency by taking an extra rest day, but you need to fight like hell to keep the intensity as long as you can. And if you are still losing strength badly, it's because of your dieting approach. You need to find the right balance and give yourself plenty of time to deit down to whatever you are aiming towards.

Hope this helps :)

I appreciate all the comments guys...it means a lot. It's been a long road of some slow dieting techniques, but it's all been worth it. The pro card is in sight :)

that certainly appears to be the case! your conditioning is indeed better than most of the pros. 4 and a half weeks? yikes man id go into maintain mode, you dont have any more fat to lose.

To be honest...I have a tiny bit left on the glutes...but it is VERY slightly below maintain mode :)

Oh, you have NO idea...

But at least I can still drop it like it's hot and shake it like a salt shaker...

Damn, you look dry, lean and vascular. Good job man! I go to work in my speedos if I were that lean.

LOL...isn't that why we do what we do? To look good naked?

220-230 sounds about right, but it all depends on how fat you get. You are exactly right...that was way too much weight to lose, but it had to be done because I allowed myself to get so fat LOL. My advice is to not concentrate on competing at a certain weight...just get as shredded as possible and wherever your weight ends up is where it ends up. Give yourself plenty of time and diet slow.

Thanks for that! I appreciate the comments!

Yea, the carbs are an individual thing and usually go hand in hand with how insulin sensitive/resistant you are. I just happen to be very lucky that I can get lean on so many carbs :)

Sporto

Is that normal for you? And/or whats your theory behind doing this.

And yes, your in insane shape.

That wasn't a normal thing I did, it was just what I happen to do that time and what I noticed...I applied that same protocol on show day and was really happy with the results!

Sporto since Sciv left Am you havne't been around? or have you. I miss reading your motivational journal-log man

Yea, I couldn't find my journal from just the forum section, so I just stopped posting altogether. I haven't really been around online much anyway with some things going on I have right now, I've just been doing the bare minimum of tracking progress and that's pretty much it. I wish I had more time to go into other people's logs and help out or offer advice in other threads, but I have been just sticking to questions asked in my threads as of late on other boards...

Amazing progress bro! Looking shredded.

I was just curious about how often you use your stims?

Everyday? Or EOD to limit tolerance? Just before cardio sessions?

I'd appreciate your experience with this?

Thanks.

I normally use stims for 4-6 weeks at a time every day and then take a week or so off. There's many ways you can do it, but that's the method I use!

That's f**king impressive! Do any Caliper tests?

Btw, great book ;)

If I remember correctly Sporto doesn't do body fat tests because the numbers vary. the water dunking, the caliber and the math calculations. Correct me if I'm wrong Sporto.

btw Sporto we talked about the entertainment industry in a thread a while back, I auditioned for about 7-10 Tv, modeling auditions, have you got any work? do you have your head shot for acting and comp card for modeling?

Thanks for the quick response bro.

I think I'll give the 5on/2off regimin a shot. :)

Props!

No caliper tests...the number itself doesn't really have any meaning. All methods are flawed anyway with the only real accurate way to determine bodyfat being dissection.

I think caliper readings can be useful to measure change, but that's about it. The mirror is my guide :)

I actually have my comp card :) I would love to get into that, but I still don't even know the first thing about getting into it. It seems like an industry that you reall yhave to KNOW the right people to have a chance. I would love to pursue it, but I'd have to get in touch with the right people...

My comp card turned out really well though...
