4:3 on:off carb cycling

If I’m carb cycling, training 4 days a week and making my 3 rest days low carb days, should my calorie intake on those rest days be [TDEE - 500] or [maintenance - 500] ?

Training day calories are going to be maintenance and I’ll be having a refeed once every two weeks at first.
I’m currently at ~12% body fat
 
its up to you. If your trying to lose a little subtract 500 on non training days.

Subtract 500 from TDEE or maintenance?

I’m confused because I feel as if maintenance includes the calories required for a workout and so if I eat according to it on rest days I’ll be in a smaller deficit than I’d thought
