basic bloodwork.
right now i take a multi vit, 10,000 d3 and 9grams fish oil (worht about 2 grams omega 3s) daily, workout 5 days a week. diet i am sure can use help but its better than an average american's diet...

i feel good, not great, but pretty good. energy is better than pre surgery, but i am finding i can still sleep a LOT (at night ad any time during the day).
sex drive is MUCH better than pre surgery, i get wood at night again, and i have sex with my wife at least 2 times a week (prior surgery it was maybe 2 times a month at best). motivation is better in most aspects as well.

in the past month or so i have gained 6-8 lbs though, and i have not changed my diet, i have started lifting heavy again, put nearly half an inch on in each arm in less than 4 weeks, an inch in the shoulders and thighs, but also an inch in the waist. definitely kind of soft looking ad flabby in the middle.

the only real changes i see in the blood work is slightly lower total test, slightly lower LH and FSH...and half the estradiol. I am guessing the test/estra ratio is why my sex drive came back...

whats my next choice? in a perfect world i would see/talk to the matrix, but i am not at a point i can afford that (sole supporter or wife, baby, house note and 2 car notes on a firefighter salary). i may be able to get SOME help through my health "providers" but i am not sure how to approach it. the urologist that did my surgery has already said he would work with me as far as low test, but i am hesitant. he is a great guy but i also expect his knowledge to be limited. would it be worth going on androgel for a year until the money situation changes and i can get real help? btw i do want another kid but its not going to be for a year or more since my wife and i are sorting things and waiting on more income...

Chill it out with fish oils (max I recommend is 2 pills 2-3 times a week.) this can lower testosterone causing a cellular imbalances.
Add in some zinc picolate 25- 30 mgs, magnesium glycinate 400 mgs, 50 mgs P5P before bed time on hour empty stomach my own home made ZMA stack that works better then store bought stuff.
increase some red meat and whole organic eggs comsumption
Keep cruciferous veggies high - when examining people e2 issue - reduce the milk increase veggies = decreases of average 30-50% of e2.
Since changing my eating habits, cleaning the gut, and balancing methylation in the liver no more AI needed.
Since you removed the physical stress your adrenals will probably be functioning much better as time goes on.

What range of omega 3s should I aim for? I have been trying for 1 to 2 grams a day. I also like the easing effect on my arthritic joints that fish oil has. I will check what my multi provides and go from there on the ZMA/p5p.I eat 8 oz or more 1 to 2 times a week, milk maybe 8oz a day, I eat veggies daily, and cruciferous at least 5 times a week, if not more. I try and minimize grain and processed carbs. I really want to work with you and your dr in austin, but that won't happen til next spring at least...

my multi vitamin provides chelated zinc at 23mg and chelated magnesium at 500mg. will adding more of those elements in a different delivery form be excessive?

Also do I really need to lower/control e2 further? I am already very low on the scale, if i lower even further I am sort of concerned...

Your testosterone is low. I would try a low dose Clomid restart. If you cannot get a hold of it, maybe DAA.

Matrix, what are you basing that Fish Oil dosing off of? I have never heard of that?

I am thinking about the Clomid. A few months prior to the varicocele surgery I used DAA for a month (several grams a day) and my test levels were about 10 points higher than now.

I actually had a person do an experiment with fish oils and measured the results. He was lipids where normal when added 3 grams od EPA amd 3 grams of DHA for 8 weeks. His lipids were severely altered and showed typical metabolic syndrome. Excessive fish oils causes increased lipid peroxidation and free radicals. They also put excessive stress on thyroid, alter cortisol pathways. and can lower testosterone as they have done in many people I have encountered. I have many medical professionals now revisiting the dosage of lovaza they are giving to their patients. When they saw that lipids where actually getting better as they decreased the dosage they where amazed. After dealing with deep metabolic issue with as well as Dr patients and also my self this evidence is backed up highly in scientific literature.

It appears that all of your benefits have come from lowering estrogen. Does your doctor think testosterone might continue to improve?

I agree about the lowered estrogen, I am thinking the total test to estrogen ratio is an improvement. The doctor did not think that any imrpovement in testosterone was likely since the problem has existed for over 20 years, basically said improvement was not likely but not impossible and followed up with "if the fatigue has not improved by the end of summer come back and see me and we will talk about therapy."
