Wanted to post some pictures and hopefully get critiqued by some of you on what needs to come around by July 12. Trying to qualify for Nationals. I know my abs aren't super visible and that's 100% diet right now. Any advice, pointers, diet ideas would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to qualify for Nationals and go on to win my IFBB Pro Card.

These pics are cell phone and really not that good due to lighting and pixel quality.

Upper body is looking great, not that I can see the best from pics but your hamstrings and calves look like they could use a little more size.

One of these days I'll have Calves like Dorian.. I train them religiously! My hams are actually pretty well developed, these pictures really dont do them justice.

Thanks for the help! I'll definitely keep blasting away!

Legs....legs and more legs. Legs are lagging behind your upper body. You have good development up top.

Hard to say as you're so far about from you show what you really need to work on.

I've split my leg day into two separate days. Hams/calves then quads/Calves.

A typical Ham workout goes like this.

3- standing ham curls
5- Squats
5- 1 legged press
4- Lying leg curls
4- Abductor/inductor
4- light high intensity lunges

Any ideas on ways to mix it up?

Quad workout goes

3- 2 legged extensions
5- Front squats
5- Hack squat narrow stance
5- 1 legged extensions then super setted to 2 legs done to failure.
4- abductor/inductor

Thighs measure 28" cold just now...

Some more crappy pics but these might give a better perspective on leg to upper body proportion.

Def some Decent size but IMO, but they need to be much larger to not have lines at this point and come in looking nasty.

I'm blessed with lean large legs, in fact my legs come in in better shape than my upper body  . I see a lot of guys lose size or come in with "line less" legs. Compound movements are best for overall leg development in my experience. Never got much from single leg movements... I'm sure other can chime in.

How many shows have you done this far? An IFBB pro is a lofty expectations and I don't know how old you are but don't rush is. Bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint.

The way I see it, this show is a national qualifier... I'm not competing to lose. I haven't done a show in 6 years. Had a kid and work bla bla. Life. But I keep getting told to compete and I've always kept track of NPC. So.. Why not aim for the top? I have the passion and motivation. Plus a wife and family that supports me!

I practice posing for 30 minutes post workouts. Still no where near where I wanna be.

About my legs, I will keep at it.

Good to hear man. Having a support system is huge. My gf is a national level NPC bikini competitor and her family is very anti everything this sport so it's very frustrating. Luckily, we have each other and my family is very supportive

Just a quick question. I'll pertain this to myself for example. I train legs hard as **** but for some reason it sparks ridiculous upper body growth and my legs get left in the dust. Is there any scientific reason for this or just genetics?
