24 and trt but don’t think I should be on it
My levels were 265ng/dl at 24
Doesn’t make sense why they were so low but they were
It did change me as a person to be on trt and to have a 1200ng/dl test level but for some reason I feel guilty to be on it because I’m so young
What do you guys think

I started at 40 years old, my numbers were 430...
You might get a better response in the anti-aging area though. This is in supplements.

This all depends on your doctor. If he thinks you are low then maybe it is best you are on TRT. You should ask the doctor what other markers he or she looked at before putting you on it. Also if you feel better on it why feel guilty?

OP, arent you the guy who got the abscesses from dodgy gear?

Its possible your TT (and assumably LH/FSH) was so low due to your cycling of AAS?

A kick in the balls and a hit to the head should get you in shape. Stimulating your balls and hypothalamus at the same will reformat your body.

Yes it’s me
Please read this was before cycling
I’m only cycling because I am on trt
Thanks

What’s the issue with TRT? A 24 year old is typically 700-1100 total T.

The main issue I see with it is that if you want children someday get ready to spend a lot of money

hopefully in his lifetime they will come up with better alternatives...otherwise he Is facing a possible 50+years of being chained to a drug to feel normal, much like a diabetic....I've been on trt since I was 50 and am now 60 and although I have never considered going off trt, sometimes it can be a pita...

Well what was the context of your low test finidng?

Did you have multiple blood tests done at different points of the day?

Were you stressed out, sick, using recreational drugs, staying up late, recovering from anabolic steroids, or anything like that?

Its hard to say but being 24 and having low test should have an assignable cause, like some combo of what I mention above.

Im surprised a doctor would take one look at a lab test and prescribe testosterone without anymore quizzing of the patient.

If you want to get off it, Id say get your lifestyle completely in check and ask your doc for clomid or nolvadex, plus maybe an aromatase inhibitor if they think it would help. Also, what other numbers did your panel have? Estrogen high or low? Lutenizing hormone high or low? There are a few different forms of low test.

Absolutely 0 reason for you to feel guilty if you actually need it. Would you rather live your life anxious all the time and not be able to get it up. Get that out of your head man in my opinion you’re doing the right thing.

I’m 24 as well and started at 23. I had and still sometimes have the same conflicting feelings as you, mainly because this is a lifetime thing and it can be very expensive ($375 every 2.5-3 months for me) but my test and estradiol we’re both bottomed out and it was shocking that I felt as well as I did. I still felt horrible, but people were amazed I managed to keep my head above water. I struggled with so much before starting TRT though man... my life was a wreck, I was depressed and super anxious every single day to the point of being prescribed Ativan and some rather highly doses anti depressants and although I still have minor hiccups with my TRT occasionally, I’ve felt well enough mentally to cut my anti depressants dose in half and stop taking the Ativan for anxiety and panic. I have energy again, I feel like eating again! Also when I used to try to cut weight I could be 200lbs and drop to 150lbs and I’d lose almost all of my muscle mass and strength which is such a pain. I have acne now so that’s the newest issue but otherwise I’m doing pretty good. If you genuinely you can come off of it, use HCG for awhile and bridge it into some clomid and see if you can kick things up again, but if your life has generally gotten better then why not just keep doing what you’re doing?

do you know what they call the person who finished last in medical school?

DOCTOR....they aren't all created equal.

I’ve tried everything
I love a very healthy lifestyle and have tried everything you can possibly think of
My test was 380 when I was 18 and I have been doing research on trt TIL I turned 23 where I made the decision to take it. My life has turned around
I’m 10x more confident
My heads screwed on a lot better without those crazy thoughts I used to have
I’m overall healthier mentally and physically
I don’t want to get off
I just feel guilty being on it since I am so young. Thanks for the replies guys means a lot

Sometimes I get kinda upset because I think “whoa, I’m really going to be doing this forever” or I’ll think too far in to things that aren’t even problems yet, I think about trying to come off every once in awhile too. Thing is, even if I successfully came off I’d feel awful! You just have to keep the mindset that this is for your health and overall well being. It’s a medicine like anything else dude.

If you need get to bring your levels up and feel better, then you shouldn’t feel guilty, however the cycling is probably something to feel guilty about lol maybe not, all depends on how you look at it. I personally don’t judge people for things like that, it’s your choice. I would say 24 is very young and if you don’t want to be on trt you probably have a better than average chance of raising your test levels naturally with a solid regimen and consistent habits. Diet lifestyle activity level etc

Once again tried everything :// but yes I do agree for other readers

If you’re already having the drawback of stabbing yourself constantly might as well have some fun with it every once in awhile haha
