22 yr 20.5 total T Potential Thyroid trouble

Evening everyone, Andrew here first time poster and long time lurker/knowledge obtainer
First off id like to thank the community here for all the amazing information and advice provided to people like myself who are looking for answers for their questions and hopefully you all can help me with this one.

Below is my recent and only blood work results following nearly 2 years of depression and extreme fatigue/libido issue (i can provide full write ups if desired)

I am 22 years old i dont drink, dont smoke, sleep and rise early, eat a consistent micro-nutrient dense diet, exercise on 5x a week (powerlifitng/oly lifting routine) no drugs recreational or other wise, and yet these are my current numbers.... and boy do they reflect how i feel....utterly drained

My Primary, while a good doctor, is not to knowledgeable with the treatment of low T and im not sure where to go from here.
Unfortunately my doctor forgot to check for e2 so i will be retaking a full hormone panel in 2 weeks time, and was hoping that some of you could share some insight on my numbers being as i am only 22 and the most anabolic thing if ever touched is a chicken breast

Blood test DHEAs, TT4, TT3, FT3, FT4, the 2 thyroid antibodies, E2, D3 (25,Hydroxy), B12, DHT
Your SHBG is high, but something else is keeping your TT and LH low.
Over exercising can lower your LH and TT.
Do you eat SOY, Ginseng, or other PhytoEstrogens??
What vitamins do you take?
After you get your Thyroid test results back, taking certain supplements can lower your TSH, without taking
prescription thyroid hormones. (sensible amounts of MB12, selenium, iodine, P5P, AD12, Metafolin, etc)

thanks for responding Mr.TT

i will get those tested as soon as possible, i believe my primary will be transferring me to a specialist soon.

i USED to eat soy, i no longer do
Vitamins-
20,000 D3
General multi
Agmatine Sulfate
B vitmans
garlic extract
and zinc

-DIET-
I use If it fits your macros but with only whole/natural foods + plus some processed dairy products
i get all of my fats and protein from animal/whole food sources. and make sure to get plenty of potassium.

-my carbs come from veggies, spinach, cauliflower, brusslesprouts, avacado, kale...etc
currently i am 5' 10 and a measly 160 lbs, over the past 2 years my body composition has changed dramatically for the worse.. i am softer and much weaker cant attain a pump in the gym,, currently i am sitting somewhere between 10-14% bf.

Any AAS, PH or SARM use?

no ken, the only "hormonal "thing i have used is ds sports triazole, which did have a very positive impact on my general well being, but no exogenous products of any kind.

I have managed to stay clear of it all so far :) but relying on my natural production is not going so great

20,000 D3 (weekly, I hope )

-my carbs come from veggies, spinach, cauliflower, brusslesprouts, avacado, kale...etc ( all suppressive of thyroid function )

All your lab readings, would be consistent with opiate use.

After blood work, I would expect your Dr. to try a CLOMID challenge, to see if you can
produce Test.

Well...if you want some more help...eat some more carbs. Probably will help the "measly 160, weaker, and unable to obtain a pump" problems. Those are great vegetable sources...but carb sources to fuel intense athletic training...nah. Honestly...after seeing this post...would you mind posting up your diet macros/cal intake? You may honestly just be severely under eating...

i can assure you no drug use beyond aspirin/ibuprofen.. my mother is a drug abuse counsler so i am fairly well versed on the dangers involved with said life choices..

2 years ago i was on a brief but heavy script of oxycodone and i think fentalyn for a acute disk herniation resulting from a spinal birth defect. since then i have had extensive postural therapy and havent taken them for 2+ years

at around the same time as my injury my on/off again girlfriend was killed by a driver high on heroin and that had me in a severe deprssion for a while...could these things work together in a synergistic negative manner???

for the past year i have been on a diet consisting of 2750-2950 calories per day, i get a minimum of 165g protein. 65g fat and fill in the rest with carbs.. and hit my fiber everyday. i use If it fits your macros but with only whole/natural foods + plus some processed dairy products
for nearly 4 months i had my carbs up to 520g a day using oats/grains but all this did was result in adipose fat gains,, and my strength continued to decrease.

recently i have been doing a keto diet at 2400kcals (trying to cut back some fat gain, as i cant seem to increase my strenght regardless), and it has me feeling better mentally, i get all of my fats and protein from whole food sources. and make sure to get plenty of potassium. and this has me feeling much better in my daily life - no mood swings,, energy crashed etc...

-on a side note-

my father suffers from low T/ bad sperm production... (test tube baby here) so i think there may be a genetic component aswell ??

When did you use it? Because if you used it before or during the hole "craze has meth in it" thing it could have been spiked. Atleast that was the rumor that was going around. No one knew what or had anything to confirm it was spike that i remember tho

thanks for the input rtmilburn

it was around that time..maybe 2+ years ago,, come to think of it i used animal m-stak too at that time.. i had forgotten about that

i was a under-informed gym supplement enthusiast at that time.

sorry to be bumping.. but i have a question/concern

i have scheduled another blood draw for 2 weeks from now, and am hoping to see some improvements. dialing in sleep/recovery/de-stressing/

im currently on break form University, and have cut back my work hours significantly in an attempt to correct/heal as much as i can.
Currently i am resting for up to 14 hours per day + naps, while i do feel slightly better i am still extremely tired and fatigued/no libido/erections at all.

my worry is that i will see so much of an improvement over my last bloods (but still remain feeling tired/weak/emasculated) that my doctor wont want to continue pursuing answers.
while i am enjoying essentially doing nothing but eating training and sleep while on this short break, it is not even close to how my life is 90% of the time(i live a very hectic busy life generally)...any suggestions??

i dont want to overtly skew my results, but am afraid that i might be doing so in the other direction by taking this reprieve from life.

am i being a worrywort about this??

ty for the understanding

OP .... relax.
Get the blood tests, in two weeks, and wait for the results. I would love to see them posted.
If relaxing can improve your test results, that is big/important information for you to have.
What if your hormone levels are a result of anxiety/depression/stress???

Thanks Mr.TT i am relaxed about it.
its amazing having people to talk about this with as its not exactly polite dinner conversation and
im just a wee bbit eager to get the ball going and improve my well being whatever that direction may be.

I share your opinion, and i do believe that some of my symptoms are stress and work overload induced , or at the very least exasperated by them and i will post my labs as soon as i receive them. should be around the second of next month when i have my 1 month follow up.

thanks for the patience and god bless

Here is my observation
Not enough clinical data provided
Low total cholesterol - fat malabsorption
Low Triglycerides - Fat may be trapped in the liver not being excreted out. This is also a choline deficiency or Phosphocholine as indicated in studies
High SHBG - may indicated estrogen endogenous or exogenous source. Proper evaluation of environment surroundings as well as GI and liver function would be highly suggested, I would also check for dysbiosis mainly candida as I often see high SHBG in these confirmed cases.
Low total testosterone - Why ?
High TSH - Need further evaluation of Ft4 ft3, TPO TGAB, ferritin, adrenal function (4 point coritsol saliva suggested) Suspect more hashimotis as I see it more often then actually low thyroid
20,000 ius of vitamin D a day is potential dangerous as it can deplete vitamin a , E , K causing other issues. It also can be pushing inflammation up if there is mold or pathogen on VDR.
Being in the area you are in I would get tested for lyme and other pathogens through use of MDLabs as this is the goal standard used by many LLMDS which will not cost you a fortune. I am currently working on getting this test available to people all over Europe.

Just had a case to where the issue was not hormonal, but by correcting the underlying cause which was a hidden infection resolved his hormones as well as neurological issues. Remember stress no matter where it comes from the body does not know the difference. The response is the same.

thanks you matrix your insight is highly appreciated! i am currently on a much lower fiber high fat diet.. hoping to see some positive results

i had high glucose levels so my doc wants to check for liver/kidney issues,
could it have to do with my elevated cortisol levels+ a large pasta dinner the night prior

should i stop eating around 5 the day before? i think i may of had/have insulin resistance
as before my diet change i was eating a absolutely crazy amount of apples each day,, im talking 2-3+ lbs
i have since stopped such excessive behavior lol

OP, how many IUs of D3 are you taking??? DAILY????
And for how long have you been doing this?????

My favorite D3 YouTube video

thanks for the video Mr.TT watching now

was taking 2x 5000 iu d3 daily.... i had been told this was okay?? and beneficial

OP, how many IUs of D3 are you taking??? DAILY????

My favorite D3 YouTube video

i have high MVP and low red/white blood cell count =anemia?

OP, how many IUs of D3 are you taking??? DAILY????
And for how long have you been doing this?????

My favorite D3 YouTube video

i am loving this video so far, thought provoking for sure,, my mother suffers from very low Vit d,, and my fathe has sleep apnea 20 wakenings an hour.

i am not taking any statins, but i do have a fairly low cholesterol level 155mg/dl Dr gomanak makes tha claim that a low cholesterol level can stop the binding and uptake of d3 on the skin via lowering of 7-dehydrocholesterol.
lowering of 7-dehydrocholesterol can essentially cause low vit d hormone production.

so could what looks like healthy cholesterol for instance my levels of 155 in turn with an environmentally activated genetic precursor (inactive D 1,25 OH) cause sleep apnea/disturbances.. (she notes excessive bruising,, something i have )

or did i totaly butcher that :P??

i have been researching circadian rhythms like crazy lately, so this is something of great interest to me

1,25 OH DiHydroxy is the Active form of D3.
25 Hydroxy is the storage form of D3.

I suspect that if you blood test for both Hydroxy and DiHydoxy you are going to have a HIGH out of range result on at least
one of them.

You need your Vitamin(really a human hormone) D3 in a proper range. TOO LITTLE and TOO MUCH will interfere with
your REM sleep. Maybe the reason you are sleeping so much, is you are not getting RESTFULL sleep. This can affect
T levels, easily.

5,000 IU's of D3 pushed my storage D3 to 75 (range 30 - 100), and so I backed off to 4,000 IUs. (everyone is different )
That is why you have to blood test D3 after you supplement.

If I were you, I'd keep my D3 supplementation the same until I get back the Blood tests.

Dr Grominak's follow up presentation.

thank you Mr.tt the immediacy of you responses is very appreciated. i had already started watching said video

concerning the D3 i havent been supplementing for a few months i included it in my vitamin list as i had been taking them for a while,, i have bought some more, but i havent begun taking them yet..should i continue?

Here is an article I provided the research and information for author to write about. I been doing this more often since my writing skills are not the best, but I can provide information and research for other to write about a specific topic

Here is a published study to back up pathogens on VDR as I have been saying for several years Invalid Link Removed

thanks matrix,, some thought provoking points for sure :)

currently i am planning to meet with my primary for for my one month follow up on the second of July, i was planning, and now definitely, will be talking with him about testing for vitamin /thyroid deficiencies.

The body will not run with out co factors and enzymes which come from minerals which are the spark plugs for vitamin. If you give what the body needs then it will have ability to heal. The trick is to find what and why through deeper exploration which takes times and patience
