2017 NFL Draft & Season Chat Thread

Went to bed at halftime to wake up and see the Pats got smoked.
KC Came to play in the 2nd half. Can't wait to see the highlights. Holy crap. Did not think NE would give up 40+ Points at home.

The Pats got Kareem'ed. Er... I mean "creamed."

Pretty stoked about the Chiefs but losing Berry would be devastating for the Chiefs defense.

I went with my gut/Husker love and started Burkehead in fantasy. Targeted him early just nothing after that.

Dude I am playing had Smith and Hunt both on the bench lolol.

I was torn between starting Hunt and Gillislee for my flex. Went with Hunt, made the right choice :). I never trust a Belichick backfield. Gillislee did have 3 TD, but you never really know what you're gonna get week to week from NE RBs.

I stay as far away from that backfield as possible at all times.

I ended up with him because I couldn't pull the trigger on anyone in my draft so the clock hit 0 and he was apparently the best available. ****tiest part was the fact that I was last pick of the round then first of the next and it autodrafted my NEXT pick too. Ended up with Gilleslee and Paul Perkins....I was not happy.

WOW. Not that anyone needs to say it, but that's a huge loss.

Go Chiefs! Still think they can reach the Super Bowl if they can stay healthy. Gotta get lucky and lose no one else big.

Stafford puts on a show as Detroit goes by Arizona ... Too many turnovers for Zona.
Wentz looked good vs Washington. Eagles get a nice W to start the season
The falcons run game was no where to be seen today. Matt Ryan finds a way to get a win on the road vs Chicago
Jacksonville straight embarrassed Houston at home. Watson struggled in his first start at QB
How about them Bills?? Getting a W Vs NY Jets. The Jets did not look very sharp at all 2 Int and 2 Fumbles. Buffalo should of put up far more points.
Oakland looked good on the road vs Tenn. That defense kept Mariota on lockdown the entire game.
Baltimore gave Cincy a goose egg at home. That Defense is no joke!
Steelers run game looked no where to be seen today. Even with 150+ Yards in penalties Ben had to take things over with his arm, and AB came to play! Good W for the steelers vs their rivals.
With Andrew Luck out the Rams smoked the Colts.
Carolina & Cam Netwon were too much for 49'ers.
Green Bay looked strong on all aspects vs Seattle. What a brutal matchup in week 1 for the divison rivals. Can't wait to see that game in Seattle later this year.

NY and Dallas should be great. NY Gave Dallas a lot of trouble last year. Lets see if Dak & The Boys can put up some points.

Monday Night Double Header

GB and Seattle aren't rivals, haha.

Steelers barely escaped with a win against the Browns. Don't be a homer!!

Watson didn't struggle. Watson got bullied. 10 sacks and like 20 QB hits. Him or Savage never had a chance.

Biggest thing for me is that. Eli Manning will go down as one of the greatest ever, for taking an 8-8 team to the Superbowl and Winning. And no one will ever know my name, and I served in 3 combat zones. And sacked Eli in Highschool

Eli Manning is good when he has an offensive line that could start in Division II. Flowers and Jerry are the two worst at their respective positions. Pugh can't open up a running hole. Richburg has taken a step back. Hart is still refining his technique and doesn't have any help. That line is atrocious and will literally be the bane of this team.

GB and Seattle aren't division rivals, but I guess they do have some bad blood from the old Golden tate hail Mary action in the past.

How bout dem lions!! What a weird weird game.. Kenny golladay tho ?

Hopefully the run game becomes more established. Carson Palmer looked rough lol

As a Jags' fan, I'm as surprised as anyone that our O-line held against Houston's D-line and that we accumulated 10 sacks. I have no faith that we can keep this kind of play up, but it was nice to see it for at least one week.

Lenny looked good though!

Thanks to Fred Taylor and MJD, after those initial successful years, we were known as "that crappy team with the good running back." Then we just became "that crappy team." Maybe Fournette can get us back to that.

Allen Robinson injury won't help as teams can stack the box even more than before. But hopefully the new coach and new scheme can figure something out for you :) I have lots of shares of fournette in fantasy, so I hope to see it continue lol

I believe Jacoby Brissett will get the start over Tolzien for the Colts this week. After being in house just 8 days he ran the offense way better than Tolzien did last week, and they actually looked like they could do something on offense.

Either way, the management of Luck's shoulder ailment has been an unfortunate mistake that i think might cost Pagano his job (even though I dont really blame him for it).

Darby going down for my squad is huge...O Line needs to make some major improvements...but our D Line is the real deal, and we will most likely spend a majority of the season relying on their dominance to influence our Win column.

Yeah. As long as the DLine keeps pressure on the QBs our CBs might skate under the radar.

I just hate Pederson's playcalling...his lack of effort to establish a run game, coupled with the fact that he will eventually cause more harm than good if he keeps asking Wentz to sling 40+ times a game.

We really don't have the ability to open any running lanes or RBs that can create plays without them. I am not sure what options he has until we get a better RB or run blocking.

more to do with packaging and line direction as well as predictability...we literally averaged an entire extra yard per rush attempt on the right side, but he continued to work in stretch plays as well as pulling his lineman towards the left side on numerous occasions in obvious situations. If we're playing catch up by all means, abandon the run, but not when you have the lead which we had ending the 1st half and held onto for the entire 2nd half...but the pass/run ratio was still greater than 3/1 in favor of pass in the 2nd half.

I'm a numbers guy...why? ...cause sometimes I have too much time on my hands, lol.

There were 30 different running backs who had 10+ carries this week.
Only 10 averaged 4 yards or better.
17 RBs had more attempts than Blount.
13 of those 17 played for teams who pulled a W.
And if you subtract Hunt's absurd debut, all of those mentioned running backs combined (ahead of Blount in attempts) averaged 3.5 yards per attempt.

Blount averaged 3.3, mediocre at best, but consistent enough to deserve more reps, especially when we actually had the lead, and the O Line couldn't stop the D Line from generating pressure.

Tough to say on that matchup. Both are due for a good game. I think Houston's QB situation will make them lose a close one.

Yup comes down to the qb in both. Neither team could protect their qb for the life of them last week lol.

I don't see Dalton turning the ball over 5 times again. Or Green being held to 74 passing yards again. But Houston is better than what they showed in Week 1 too.

Marvin Lewis it too much a joke of a coach to play Mixon as a top back, so I don't foresee them having issues like they did with Lenny. Not to mention they can't block anything lol.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 20-17 game or so

Steelers found the run game, Ben played well, and the Defense looked sharped. Good W for the home opener over the Vikings
Pats roll. and Tom Brady looked unstoppable. 400+ yards. I hope he was on your fantasy team this week. Pats roll the Saints
After jacksonville played so well last week, they got crushed by Tennessee
KC and Philly went down to the wire. Both teams looked good, but KC and their experience edged out Philly in the end. Smith looked composed all game.
Arizona and Indy in the OT Thriller. Both teams did not run the ball well and had to put the game on their QB's shoulders. Palmer threw for 330 yards
Browns struggled (go figure?) Kizer with 3 picks and he was taken out. Baltimore was too much for them, and the browns are 0-2 in the AFC north.
Carolina and Buffalo with a low scoring game. Buffalo barley had 200 yards of offense the entire game as Carolina D looked solid.
Chicago and their turnovers did not help vs TB. Winston and the offense looked good, but they were in control the entire game and up front.
jets just look bad.. I mean BAD. Oakland is putting a hurting on them. I don't know who is worse them are the browns.
Cutler & Rivers both looked good, but the Dolphins find a way to Win in LA. That running game from Miami is no joke!
SF Ran the ball very well over Seattle, but Russell and the Seahawks got the W with a very late score to seal the game.
Denver is just shutting down Dallas.. Zeke has 0 yards so far in the 3rd quarter on 5 rushes. Siemian has 4 TD's and the Denver defense looks in its prime from the SB a few years ago.
