Nick Fairley placed on NFI list, will end his season before it even starts. Even if he doesn't play again. I pray only for his health and that he takes care of his heart condition.

Vince was one of my fav players in college. Absolutely dynamic. Tennessee and Jeff Fisher couldn't have been worse for his career.
 
Jeff Fisher is major thing on Twitter for his mediocrity. The good ol boys smashmouth NFL is long long gone and so should the coaches who still think that way.

Also I dont claim to know if VY possessed tools that translate to the NFL. But I think everyone EXCEPT Tennessee owner who insisted on drafting VY could see the mismatch with Fisher.
 
VY just didn't have the mentality for the NFL, in my opinion. He was used to being "the guy" and did not take criticism well at all. That being said, that National Championship was one of the best games I've ever watched. Him and Tebow both were so dynamic in college.

I know this is old news, but I want other perspective from fans, since I'm torn.

David Harris, formerly of the Jets, was released a few weeks ago and then picked up by the Pats. Harris was on the Jets for 10 years and a cornerstone of their defense. He was, by far, my favorite player.

Knowing that the Jets are not going to do to well this year, does it make me a "bad fan" for wanting Harris to win the Super Bowl. Obviously that means the Pats would win, and they are my rival, but I want to see my favorite player go out on top. This does or the pats when they play the Jets both times during the regular season, but when it comes down to the post season, I wouldn't mind seeing them, more importantly, him win it.

I'm a diehard NYG fan, but went to HS with Dez. I want him to get a ring. So, I think you're good.

It's perfectly natural to want your guy to win a ring, thank God he chose to come to the darkside. I'm going to enjoy watching my team rip it up again this year.......

Calvin chose to sign that extension. If losing was such a big deal why didn't he sign elsewhere for less money?

I mean, I totally understand wanting to win championships and being on a team that won't win one being a reason for walking away. I totally understand taking less money to win a championship. I totally understand pulling a Kevin Durant. But I have no sympathy for someone who said he retired because he was on a losing team when he voluntarily chose money over winning and signed a massive extension. Unprecedented at the time, really.

Indeed. Dallas looks promising this year but a lot of that rides on Zeke and Dak. With games against the the Giants, Broncos, and Arizona in the first 3 weeks... A Zeke suspension could guarantee a couple Ls on the record.
