2017 NFL Draft & Season Chat Thread

I think that's a reasonable mock. I think the Jets front office is under so much pressure, however, that I don't see them drafting a safety with their first. They'll either reach for a QB, RB or trade back to acquire more picks. They're gonna want to make a splash pick at 6.

Same with San Fran...I don't see them picking a safety at 2. Even if the prospect warrants it, everyone keeps reporting how this is a historically deep safety class, so I think those guys get bumped down. Just my opinion.

Otherwise, I think that mock looks solid.

The Jet are a **** show, imo. But Hooker is BPA and will help their defense a lot.

San Fran is often mocked Thomas, but they have repeatedly said their DL is their strongest unit. They got raped through the air. Adams will give them a force in the middle. They have no talent on offense, either.

For Raiders, any LB or interior linemen would have been a massive reach, imo. King gives them a big body to match up against Thomas, Kelce, and Allen twice a year. It's a deep DL class, too.

I don't know what D SF is planning to run this year, but Arik Armstead/DeForest Buckner seem like 3-techs or 5-techs, so they need an edge rusher. I wouldn't want to go into the season with Aaron Lynch as my primary pass rusher.

They're moving to a 4-3/3-4 Seattle-Esque defense

Buckner and Armstead play your ends. They'll need a nose tackle, which Thomas is not. Allen/Thomas don't seem to fit on the line and can't play 4-3 LB. Adams is BPA, would fit nicely with Reid, and helps solidify the back end.

What about Tartt?

Hoping you're correct on the Colts pick. Thats who im gunning for.

Bears got robbed. Traded their 3rd, 4th, and next years 3rd to move up one spot for Trubisky. Wow

Just when I thought cleveland was bad...The bears just went above and beyond. LOL WUT?

now who do the browns go at 12? Watson or Mahones?

Browns doing it right. Really having a solid draft. Trade down with Texans to stock up on more picks. Texans get Watson.

Philly surprised me with that pick. I was positive they were going to try to get a starter at CB with their first round pick.

OJ Howard still on the board.. Foster and Davis too. Great setup for NYG. Really, really hope Cook goes to TB and Foster to Det and NYG can get Howard.

Nice haul for Cleveland. Garrett, Peppers, Njoku.

TJ Watt for Pittsburg. Not a bad pick.

You did. Kinda glad I called McCaffery to the Panthers

Bucs got the biggest steal with OJ Howard dropping to the Bucs. Man that offenese is going to be deadly
Watson will have a great group of recievers and a great RB to help him get some pressure off his shoulders.

Both of those teams drafted very well IMO

Super pumped the steelers got Watt. If we can keep that defense stronger then last year we will make it back to the playoffs if our big 3 stay healthy on O

Redskins getting Allen at 17 wasn't bad either

Well I was too tired to stay up and watch my Packers pick. Little trade back I'm hoping they go RB just for the excitement but they need help in a few places

Would be the smart move. They need to help their defence more than the offence that's for sure. Rodgers can make less talented players look good.

And can get a decent RB in 4th, imo.

I'm not sure who I want NYG to get.
Bowser and Duke Riley would make a good SLB/ILB combo. Bowser is similar to Floyd we wanted last year. Tomlinson would fill the void left by Hankins. Mixon and Cook would help the offense even more

I would personally like to see the Steelers get a QB, Ben is near the end.... Kizer would be nice, but I bet they will keep building that defense (CB/S especially)

I'm hoping the eagles can snag Mixon and still get a decent CB haul.

Seems like there's a good chance the packers trade the 33rd pick as well. Most likely to a QB needy team

Nathan Peterman is my favorite QB in this class, but I wouldn't take him at 33. His arm isn't strong enough for a second or third round pick - but his football IQ, decision making, and accuracy are wonderful.
