200lbs the holy Grail # (for gym bros) why??

Im 5,7 working out 30 years, gear etc. Im close to the best shape of my life at 187 pounds.
At 200 just like it has been said, I look huge everyone says my traps shoulders look great but Im a fat ass at 200.

For me growing up getting two wheels was the first big step. Then three etc..

There’s a reason that slogan came around at some point, “Traps are the new abs.” You wanna look peak gorilla from the back/top, most people are going to look peak gorilla in the belly as well

yeah I got veins in the lower abs but never ever got veiny legs. they were actually 2" bigger back then since we squatted basically daily, but I never felt they were ripped or super impressive. I didn't start to develop that lower "V" everyone used to talk about until years later, but my brother who was always 5-8% higher BF would have the lower like pelvic V look all the time but never necessarily have abs.

I already have veins in my legs just sitting down or standing none flexed and I have the lower V as well from ab hypertrophy from years of training them for powerlifting. Just goes to show how bodyfat distribution can vary between people with similar stats.

If you look at the high school kids that play baseball and are 200 pounds lean they are freaking
genetic freaks. Usually the kid that throws 90+ and go's D1. very rare IMO

that's pretty heavy for high school pitcher I'd think but I could see that in D1. my buddy was throwing 90s and had full ride scholarship then turned it down cause he's a moron.

These boys are big.
My son plays for a very high ranked national team and school.
We have many pitchers in both programs that are genetic freaks.
Juniors and seniors that were just born huge in a proper program throwing absolute fire.
I just looked at his travel team roster and we have 7 pitchers at 200. granted they are very tall some 6,5
My son is one of the smallest at 5,11 180, hes not a pitcher tho but can throw mid 80s

yeah those are sizeable young men. Tim Lincecum was another local out here, I believe he only weighed 170 and was throwing about 100mph, played for the giants

Fook ya I loved him he reminded me of the kid from dazed and confused.
At his school they just picked up a freshman that is 14 and he hit 94, fucking unreal. He's normal size too

Haha, this is a first I heard 200lb as a “milestone”, wtf, are you and your friends in high school? Well, it makes sense that you guys are 5’5-5’10 but even at 5’10 200 is noting special. Get new goals or even better, get new friends.
5,10 200 like 13 percent or less is fucking like jacked guy huge, steroid user huge, absolutely fucking panty pulling unique in general everyday circumstances at being nice if your an attention slut trying to **** women, it's almost never at that level of fucking swole as **** you randomly run across someone looking as panty pulling juicy, bra dude, that's like 180 185 at 5 10 lol

My teacher asked for an example of a run-on sentence, so I submitted this.

Now I’m dating all of the hottest teachers, & they call me the principal.

I think 200 is just an easy “say it out loud” goal, same way 225 bench gets treated like some rite of passage. When I was in my 20s I had that number in my head too, then I actually got there and realized it didn’t mean much if my waistline was creeping up. At 5'9 I looked best around the high 170s/low 180s when I was training consistently and eating like an adult. At 200 I was stronger but honestly kinda fluffy, and pictures made it obvious even when the mirror didn’t.

Also a lot of dudes don’t mean “200 lean”, they mean “200 on the scale”, and those are two totally different worlds. If someone’s chasing 200 at sub-12% naturally and they’re average height, they better be ready for years of boring consistency, not gas station protein shakes.

This was cleared up 3yrs ago, everyone is in an agreement that if your under 200lb you can’t be a member here anymore, either start eating or erase your account, sorry…

198.6 here✋.

I'm currently on member ban myself, they're only letting me keep my account for rep purposes 😞. I'm hoping to be allowed to hang out again by mid September. At least I'm now currently the most jacked female member till I get my man card back

this is freaking hilarious timing.
I tipped the scale at 204 this morning (salty!)
I was 187 in late april before vacation May 1st.

I spent a decade lean at 178-183 but pretty strong for my build since lifetime gymrat. But I'm finally at a point in my life where I realize at 200lbs I'm not getting fat. my legs are thick as hell again, my slacks are tight, my boxer briefs tight. I'm starting to change my own mentality to see if I can lean up a bit but stay here around 200. 200 seems to be my bodys happy place for strength training without injuries (knock on wood). at sub 180ish I was always way more injury prone.
