2009 College Football Season

I wasnt abused any more than the next guy. Distance /= difference. Anyone who moved from the south to the Bay Area had be dramatically different and not really liked much to begin with. Id like you to think Texas is all *******s. Maybe you can spread that belief around. So you can stop having people move here.

Lol, right. The Pac-10 wins in sports no one cares about! Weeeeeeee.

A&M has been winning the overall titles in the Big XII for a while now, no one cares because theyre average/mediocre at anything important. I mean, hooray track and field but cmon. Except for that really hot pole vault girl from Cal-PurgeitforthesakeoftheUSA.

You're right... my relatively peculiar nature and lack of social networking skills brought me here... and it had nothing to do with the US Navy.

TT, you sound like a rageholic caught in a shame spiral. What you need is a daily affirmation. Repeat after me: I am a worthy human being. I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggone it... people like me.

God bless you... and Al Franken too.

No big deal, as a lot of college sports with championships have little appeal to most of the country. I just think it's odd that out here I never hear about all the titles won by west coast schools."

Yeah...
Can't imagine fencing, yachting, skiing, being real popular at UF, Bama, Texas, etc.
Fits in real nice for the Pac 10 yuppy image though.
(PS - They can have it)!

Thanks for generalizing the entire population of a state with more people than Canada. I'll just go ahead and assume every Texan is a hick a**hole... because my Uncle Lonny is... and he lives in Corpus Christi.

Please don't take TexasTitan as representative of the great state of Texas.

California is awesome by the way. Whenever I visit my oldest brother in San Diego I dread having to fly back to smoggy humid traffic ridden Houston.

Shouldnt you be burning an american flag or talking about how Bush is a war criminal or something? And Im sure the navy opened your eyes to how a man can pleasure you. Not gay underway is it?

Annnnd youredone. Thats just disgraceful. Youre not a Texan, youre just imported trash like the rest of the Katrina evacs who come to Houston.

TT doesn't really believe much of what he types on here. He clowns incessantly. This forum is an outlet for him, and I like to provide fuel for the fire sometimes when this thread gets a lil' slow. I'm sure he's not half the close-minded redneck he pretends to be on here. I understand Austin's the most liberal city in Texas, and he's actually a closet progressivist.

My old squadron used to detach down to Miramar in San Diego, back when Top Gun was still there. We provided intermediate electronics maintenance for a few of the F-14 units a few times a year. I loved it so much I moved there back in 2000 and ran a nutrition store for a friend of mine. I stayed a year before coming back to the Bay Area to get my teaching credential. The two regions are both unique and awesome in their own rights.

Ah, Hey guys, College Football Thread here.

I enjoy taking apart your pathetic alma maters' football aspirations but have no interest in your likewise pathetic sexual, or political orientation or your questionable heredity and patriotism which I find extremely compelling and persuasive but certainly off subject. : )

they played piss poor defenses teams from what i seen. That WR is fast..but he is "sec" wide open....missed tackled by oppenents and just a lack of effort on the def. giving up on plays. god forbid if they play osu or psu.:damnit:

Yea, we wouldn't want that. OSU was a real challenge back in the 2007-2008 season for LSU.

I lived in Indiana for a year. I moved back.

The best women live in the south. Period. California has to use plastic surgery, makeup in bulk, and highlights just to keep up.

This only applies to white chicks in southern California. At the risk of disgusting you, I'm into Asian women, so I'm just gonna stay put.

What did you just say???!!!:liar: Yeah, I've been cutting/recomping since April 4... gone from 206 down to 193. Doin' keto with a weekly refeed. Shirts are tighter and pants are looser, so I'm pretty happy with it so far. Using topical formestane has definitely made a huge difference in retaining lean muscle.

off topic..ive been looking into formestane by CEL..nice reviews!! now lets talk big 10 football:food:

LETS TALK COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!:usa:

Okay, let's start with your favorite conference. It looks as if Gator administrators would like their university to be known as the BYU of the south!

Less drunks at a c0cktail party??? That's a bit contradictory, isn't it?

You act like thats something unusual. Women shoot whiskey down here right next to the guys.

Moral of the story, its Colt McCoys Sr season, and the Texas defense will vastly improved. I predict being so good we get an extra bonus national championship and make Tebow cry.

Colt McCoy is just the 2nd best QB in the Big 12 though. I see OU winning the Big 12 once again for the 4th year in a row.

Yeah Sam Bradford proved his mettle by winning when it counted in big games. Oh wait, he lost to Texas and Florida. Running up the score on the lesser Big XII teams means jack ****. Colt always mustered the offense for the end of the game and had two true freshman corners not blown coverage on Crabtree, would have beaten Florida.

I see LSU having another 5 loss season and Russel Shepard will "prothro" his leg.

Yea, LSU might have an off year. We'll see I suppose. I don't see 5 losses though looking at the schedule. 3 at most.

UT vs. Florida would be good championship game I admit. Two senior QBs facing off for the title.

Yeah... no. Florida would have beaten any team from the Big 12. Actually, I can say the same about Ole Miss. You know, Ole Miss... the team that edged that Florida team and then clobbered the team that beat your team. I'll stand by for your Crabtree ankle excuses. :147: Nice Prothro reference. Very clever. How's that workin' out for you?

Texas also beat OU and they clobbered Tech too. Texas played a stretch of games so difficult it hadnt been done since the 80s and Tech was the final one and it was at Tech. They lost by the skin of their teeth. Florida is not unbeatable. You lost with John Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson and Im sure you find Florida ungodly good but they are more than beatable. Muschamp also has a favorable history against Urban.

I didn't say that Florida was unbeatable... I said Texas or any other Big 12 team would've lost to them. It has nothing to do with Tebow or McCoy either. Last season, the Gators had a much better defense than Tech, Texas, or OU. You know that. Why do you keep blabbering on about it? Muschamp's a solid DC, but I'm sure he'd say he's coached much better defensive units when he was in the SEC.

So if Big XII teams cant beat Florida, Alabama cant beat Florida, The Big 10 (lol) couldnt beat florida if their lives depended on it, whose left?

USC? The stormin mormons of Utah?

The Gators did have a much better defense. But that doesnt make them unbeatable. Time has shown us talent doesnt beat will. With McCoy, he ALWAYS brought Texas back and ran last minute drives to win every game. The defense blew it against Tech but McCoy scored the go ahead touchdown with a minute plus left. Had Crabtree dropped that pass, it would be remembered as Texas' great comeback game and Texas would be NC bound.

I blabber on because Ive heard the "OMFG dis teem is s000000 gud. U cant beet dems" **** before. Muschamp would have a month to prep a team against Florida and Urban, a team he has success against. Even hold them some, and Texas' ball control offense would be able to do well at the end.

Look, I'm just talking about last season. Imo, the Gators were basically unstoppable after the Ole Miss loss. Before that, they had talent and good coaching... just talent and good coaching. Trauma1 and I argued over that for weeks. When they realized that wasn't gonna be enough, the passion kicked in. Alabama matched up well with them for 3 quarters, but you could just feel UF take it to another level in the 4th quarter. They weren't worried or stunned - just motivated. Unbeatable... no. But it was going to take one hell of a defense to stop them for 4 quarters. The Big 12 did not have that defense last year.

This year, if Texas upgrades a bit on defense, which I expect with Muschamp, they might just steamroll everyone on their schedule. Passion has not been an issue for them in recent times, and McCoy just strikes me as a good guy who feels his accomplishments have been overlooked. I'll be pulling for him to make a Heisman run, but I get the impression he couldn't care less about it unless the Longhorns win it all. I think both are highly possible.

Ohio State will be very tough this season. Pryor is a heck of an athlete that now has more experience under his belt. Oklahoma and Texas should both do well this year.

For the most part this season will contain a lot of the "usual" teams on top.

Ohio State will be what they always are. Amazing on paper, and suck ass in the bowl season.

Im still mystified at Sam Bradford's heisman. UT beats OU this year, NC. Hopefully we get to play Penn State or something for it because Big 10 teams that make the NC seem to be pushovers.

your childish dislikes for the big 10 are getting OLD. That douche bag vince young had the mentality of my 3 y/o son. he couldnt even spell his own name.
his career at Tennessee titans is overshadowed by a very senior kerry collins, whom is a "PENN Stater". keep playing games south of nebraska(yeah..i stand by it time and time again..weather proves how well a team really is) i hope penn state plays them. furthermore, i predict an old fashioned big 10 shlackin when ohio state defeats USC. rookie qb vs. ohio st defense...not pretty. I dspise ohio st in the big 10..but i am their bigest fan OOC. I would love the long horns to play once in happy valley in late november at night. :mischievous:

Mystery solved... it was Spurrier!:lol::lol:

Seriously, the folks at ESPN made waaaaaaay too much out of this. Serious Tebow crush in Bristol.

NUMBER ONE PARTY SCHOOL

as per "the princeton review"....penn state is #1 party school. #2 florida. this makes me even prouder.:147:

I dunno about all that.. who the hell wants to party when it's below zero outside all winter? Down south at colleges we get to have parties outside and not worry about freezing to death. Warmer weather = LESS CLOTHES on the females too.

weather is a "touchy" subject on here. warmer weather=less clothes and easier football games...lol:laugh2:

USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll

1. Florida (53)
2. Texas (4)
3. Oklahoma (1)
4. USC (1)
5. Alabama
6. Ohio State
7. Virginia Tech
8. Penn State
9. LSU
10. Ole Miss

Oh, and Cal Bears at #12! So, I hate preseason polls as much as the next guy, but... discuss the SEC rightfully making up 40% of the top ten.
