2008 NFL predictions

True.

This season has been unpredictable from the start. None of the "experts" picked the Giants or Titans to be a dominating team. Neither one had any monster additions, who would of thought.

The Cowboys D was nice, excluding the first drive. Romo looked to be only about 60-70%. If their D keeps it up and Romo can get closer to 100%, the boys will be looking competitive. Right now 4-2 gets them in.[/QUOTE]

imo..barber in the 4th quarter won that game for dallas.

The biggest mistake the Cowboys made was not utilizing him more when Romo was out.

:bruce3:

I don't think it was his lack of use, but the lack of creativity in the run game. He had plenty of touches with Romo out. If they'd have done those sweeps more often it would have opened up things for him. I love watching Flozell Adams plow over corners in the flat. :)

They could have done a lot of things different with Romo out. They could have done a wildcat with Crayton, who was a qb in college. I would have liked to see more reverses and gadget plays then too.

Just had to drop in and mention that my pre-preseason prediction about the Dolphins is looking very promissing. BTW it was that they would go at least .500 for the season.

I think you'll end up being correct. Here is how I think their season plays out:

Pats - L 6-5
Rams -W 7-5
Bills- L 7-6
Niners - W 8-6
Chiefs - L 8-7
Jets - L 8-8

Decent season for them....if i could be granted any wish regarding the 'phins it'd be that Joey Porter choke on a Big Mac. He's such an ahole.

Pretty reasonable prediction. If they somehow beat New England again though, all bets are off. Joey Porter does talk a lot of Sh.. but he's man enough to back that Sh.. up, just sayin

Or if somehow they were to win their last 2 games, they'd be 10-6. It could happen, though 9-7 or 8-8 is probably more likely.

I think it's safe to say matt cassel is beginning to feel comfortable in the new england offense. The man looks fantastic in the last few weeks. If the defense can step it up the rest of the way, look out baby!

GO PATS!!

I agree T, however, the jets are looking damn good and could be a #1 or 2 in the playoffs. they will be interesting to watch

Agreed. We'll see what happens, but i really like what i'm seeing from new england right now considering the injuries.

The AFC playoff picture is looking very interesting right now and will be quite unpredictable over the next 5 weeks, should be fun.

:bruce3:

The fun for my boys is officially on the horizon. Can you say defense:clap2: btw, the AFC East race is not over by any stretch and Miami may turn out to be a bug in the Jets tail

:bruce3:

Another tough game, both teams are hitting their stride.

:bruce3:

Its all about who brings their A game I guess.

I think one of the biggest determining factors will be how well Pittsburgh's O-line plays. If they late Ware and company beat down on Rothlisberger, they will have a long day. If they can give him time, Dallas could have a long day.

The other X-Factor is the weather. If its bad weather, I think the Steelers have the upper hand.

Another win for Atlanta....picked last in the NFL's power rankings at the beginning of the year...now have a legitimate shot at the playoffs.

Grrr....all those NFC South teams piss me off because they could potentially tiebreak my boys out of the playoffs. They need to start losing more!

Another win for the Giants. 2 more wins for them or 1 loss for the cowboys clinches the division.

Cowboys have a hard set up against, i'll give them that. The Steelers, then the Giants then the Ravens, probably the top three physical teams and the top three defenses.

They finish it up vs the Eagles, who are no slouches, and play well against other NFC East teams.

Great game for us, potentially devastating for Dallas. btw, matheje, Miami's working real hard to prove you wrong.

I wish Romo hadn't smoked so much crack before the game. Maybe he would've thrown to the guys with stars on their helmets and not the long haired guy from Pittsburgh.

Both teams played well on Defense. The Cowboys D looked lights out through the mid fourth quarter. If they can keep that up and pick up their offense they may very well be playing in early February.

As devastating as the loss may have been, they took the lead in the wild card race with the Atlanta loss and pulled away from the Redskins. If Dallas had to lose, at least their competition lost with them.

Dallas vs the NYG should be a big game next week.

Who's crack are we referring to, If I just moved in with Ms. Simpson, I'd be "smokin" crack too:lol: For me it showed a lot of poise on the Steelers part especially since our offense played badly most of the game. Unfortunately for Romo, he's becoming known for flopping at the worst times even when it's not totally his fault.

Yesterday was totally his fault, no matter what Witten says. Romo's 2 minute drill is getting pretty predictable with the 25 yd pass to Witten whenever its a clutch situation near midfield. I'd like him to hit TO, RW, Crayton or even Bennett in clutch situation at midfield sometime. The Steeler defender knew right where Romo was going when they lined up.

too bad the 'boys will be on the golf course while the giants are in the playoffs. no playoff wins since '96..keepin the streak alive.

Not likely. The Cowboys need to win one of the next two to get to the tournament. The Cowboys are the last time sheEli and company want to face in the playoffs.

no it is likely. they need to win out to make the wild card. and once jacobs is back steam rolling mofos..everything will be fine

and they probably wouldnt even be in this situation with tony homo sucked it up and popped some pain pills and got his ass on the field like brett favre does instead of staying out from a broken pinky. now that is a woman...

Didn't your team's star player just shoot himself in a club? Thats what I thought.

Oh and by the way Cowboys 20, Giants 8.

For the most part no matter who you follow, this has to be one of the most exciting years in recent memory. Lot's of teams still in it, great match-ups and things still up for grabs in the last 2 weeks.

:bruce3:

Agreed. Last year was all about elite teams and mediocre teams. This year is all about lots of solid teams fighting it out.

Nice call. How much does it suck to be the Pats. 11-5 and missing the playoffs. WTF is that?

its redemption for being cheaters. and u dont make the playoffs when u lose the majority of ur divisional games. and brady might not be recovered in time for next year. o happy day o happy day i hate that faggot.

Giants 35 Cowboys 14
Eagles 44 Cowboys 6

giants and eagles in playoffs, cowboys sittin at home. and ur quarterback collapses in the shower while one of the convicts looks on. romo is a choke artist...you need a new front office, new coach and a quarterback who doesn't fold like the buffalo bills in the super bowl.

You're talking about convicts when your teams star WR is facing 5 years on a gun charge?

Oh, and :FUfinger:
