Name your

1. fight of the year
2. fighter of the year
3. KO of the year
4. sub of the year
5. slam of the year
6. disappointment of the year
7. upset of the year

and if there's any other category that you can think of put it up, and we'll do it.

I'll probably shift these once I see others bring up moments that I forgot but

1. Huerta-Guida or Gomi-Diaz
2. Anderson Silva - he's looked nearly unbeatable
3. Gonzaga's KO of CC - haunted me for days + awkward leg position
4. Diaz's Gogo of Gomi
5. Couture slamming Gonzaga was the most monumental to me
6. Shogun - because CC has looked beatable at times with the right strategy
7. Serra - GSP - Sok-Nog have been more surprising but this was a title fight.

1. Huerta-Guida: career defining fight
2. Gesias Calvancante (if he wins at Yarennoka vs. Aoki)
3. Hendo vs Wand: moved up in weight coming off a loss at 183 and became the first one to finish Wand at 205 in PRIDE
4. Gomi vs Diaz: Diaz was a huge dog and was beat to hell by the end of the fight, but managed to finish an out of shapre Gomi in dramatic fashion
5. Ehhh, no great ones this year.

1. Diaz-Gomi. Amazing fight.
2. Rampage. 3-0 in a new ORG while beating two champs in Chuck and Hendo. I cant pick anyone else.
3. Gonzaga over CC. Quite possibly the most ironic KO ever and most devatasting of the year. Houston over Jardine and Lawler over Trigg was nuts too.
4. I have to agree with Diaz's Gogo.
5. Valencia's suplex was nuts.

1. Huerta/Guida
2. Sokoudjou-coming out of nowhere to beat 2 top ten guys
3. GG/CC-anybody predict that?
4. Imes' lineman sized gogo.
5. Couture/GG-that got me out of my seat

If Sok beats Machida then he's got to be a serious candidate for fighter of the year, although Arona was near death during that fight . Same with JZ if he beats Aoki, but I'm not as familiar with the Heros boys at 155

JZ is not that flashy, but he is a force. Haven't seen his chin tested(and it wont be against Aoki), but he hits hard as hell, has great ground, and is scary strong at 155. I want Aoki to sub him, but I think Aoki might take a loss. Sok/Machida is such a great match-up, aggressive hard hitter against the cautious super skilled Machida. I think the roles will be reversed briefly and Sokoudjou is getting stopped, just a guess.

Great thread, Jas. I would like to see Rogue's input on this one. Seems like a couple people have vanished from the seen. Savage is too busy to post, unless Sherk is involved, a@@hole. MisterEze and a few other contributor's have faded. Rodja and Vika seem to have beef, that's always entertaining. This is a good thread and will take some thought. Fvckin christmas party tonight, and I'm already trashed, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, ito!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he's had a few painkillers, Rogue's picks will be something like this:

2. RD
3. RD - Diego Salvaira (sp?)
4. Salvaira due to strikes

Better get your apologies ready if you're lit up already.

I think Sok will KO him eventually, he's too explosive. This is the best fight on the card though IMO. Also if Fedor beats Choi maybe he'll be fighter of the year

The word on the street is the JZ vs Aoki fight is off and was never really on to begin with. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, please eat a pile of sh*t. Choi is probably a joke, but he is one of the best kickboxer's in the world, and supposedly a decent wrestler, no joke, fvck this is tough. Alright, it's a joke, whatever.

Excellent work on #3 of Rogue's proposed picks. Based on Sok's last 2 fights I would have to agree, but his time is up against the predestined precise practiotioner(Rogue style). I

Anyways, I'm screwed, off to make a fool of myself at this horrible christmas party.

I overhyped Yarenokka anyways, but if that fight is off then I'll be very disappointed. Fedor fight might be FOY though:smite:

Maybe they'll add Terry Martin so the card won't be overhyped.

Dude that will be a big let down if JZ-Aoki is off. If you're f-ing around Norris, eat a cyanide sandwich. Aoki was talking about the fight in an interview a week ago so hopefully it's BS.

Zip it up and zip it out.

Mcfedries, Jas, keep up with the times. Mcfedries is in the business of knocking people the fvck out, tucking them into bed, putting them to sleep, I thought even YOU knew that.
WTF is this zip it out sh*t, I mean, I know I don't make much sense, but zip it out, Semtex wanna-be, what?

It was a Chapelle skit or standup (which I remember you being a fan of the show) where he talks about f-ing with the nerdy white guy by saying nonsensical sh!t like "zip it up and zip it out" to him. The hypothetical nervous white guy responds "zippadeedooda, bye bye."

I thought you'd get that one, Alex. Maybe the Wand clip is appropriate for my failed attempt at humor. Have fun at the party.:drunk:

1. fight of the year
2. fighter of the year
3. KO of the year
4. sub of the year
5. slam of the year
6. disappointing fighter of the year

1. Huerta v. Guida no doubt
2. Rampage, he has finally lived up to his potential
3. Gonzaga v. Cro Cop
4. Diaz v. Gomi, friggin awesome
5. not one that truly stands out IMO
6. Cc and Fedor, CC for falling apart the whole year, and Fedor for inactivity. No longer #1 in my book

6.H.Herring and CC not doing good in the octagon both 1-2
7.Serra/GSP although i like Serra it was a surprise he won.
