2 periods of 4 weeks lgd 16 mg vs 1 period of 8 weeks lgd 16 mg?

Minimum 4 weeks, your doses don't make sense and it isn't about dose vs time.
Use 5 or 10 mg for 4 weeks minimum
 
I’d run it straight through. If your gonna do 16 mg then 6-8 weeks is a good length. People normally run it in the 5-10 mg range but I’m seeing more people experiment with larger doses. If you run it at a lower dose, like 10 mg, then run it 8-12 weeks. It’s your choice. Use a SERM for pct and take a several week break between cycles.

What’s your goal? Bulk, cut, recomp?
 
Run at least 8 straight weeks. If it was me, I would do something like this 8,12,12,12,16,16,16,16. Adjust it depending upon how much of the compound you have.
 
Run it a minimum of 8 weeks and I felt the best at 25mg a day - still not that stellar of a compound and got much more from a 1/4 andro cycle and they both will suppress you so mine as well run something that will give you more gains
