1st full meet...Food?

I will be doing my first full meet this Saturday. What seems to work for most of you when you go to full meets in terms of what kinds of food to bring? I dont really like lifting with food in my stomach but with 7-9 max attempt lifts I assume ill be needing somthing to eat and fuel me all day as I dont believe that just a big breakfast will cut it?

So what does your typical food plan look like on meet day?
 
i do, not the usual pre-wo dosages though as it wouldnt last. Just enough to get a slight edge and let adrenaline take me the rest of the way, I just dose before each warmup.
 
in some federations caffeine is a banned substance. check on that. My meet is saturday and I plan to bring a gallon of water mixed with some slingshot, 3 banana's, 2 pbj's, and money to get some food during and after
 
Hamr9, Inarius, good luck to both of you this weekend, hope you hit your goals. My next meet is saturday 12/12, doing a raw competition.
 
Lots of fluids and foods that are easy on the stomach. Don't eat anything new on meet day. Stick with foods that you are used to eating.
 
I will be competing at a local meet here in MN its just a small MN fed. I will prob get into USAPL once the new year rolls around though.

did the meet this weekend, hit 9 for 9 and 435-squat, 325-bench, and 500-dead. with a 1,260lb total all raw at 198.

I def packed some gatorades, bananas, and pb/j's, thanks for the advice.

nice man good job. I went 7/9. Ended up losing 10 lbs and getting a little sick because of it. Was not feeling 100%. Had a nasty headache and stomach cramps throughout the day.
Got a 501 deadlift though. 27 lb pr.

thought I'd share my meet results too. got a 560 squat, 358 bench and 589 dl, all PRs, at the 2009 APF IL Raw Power Challenge. Ultimate goal is to hopefully achieve Master level (1700+) raw, before going equipped.


Oh, and one food I forgot to mention, ATJ protein recovery balls....
