1st Cycle and Hair Loss

Hi,
I'm looking into running my first cycle after some time looking into it.
Stats: Age 24, 6', 205lbs

As most people recommend, I would run Test 500mg for 12 weeks.
My main question is how to go about preventing hair loss from this cycle. I have not started losing any hair, but I know I have the gene because literally all men in my family are balding.

Since balding hasn't started yet, I don't take finasteride. Should I start taking it a couple months/weeks before starting this cycle? If I do this will I be able to stop taking finasteride after the cycle or PCT, as long as hair loss doesn't occur? Or would I need to start taking it indefinitely once I start?
Would a lower dose be recommended for prevention?

Any tips are appreciated.

Edit: I plan on getting a DHT blocking shampoo like Nizoral while also throwing in supps like biotin just in case. Would this be enough?
 
Dht based steroids cause the most hair loss, any one can if it's inevitable, get the dht shampoo but the truth of the matter is that **** happens and if your decision is to use steroids your going to have to make sacrifices sooner or later. I wouldn't worry to much about 500mg of test tho. Stay away from Winny and anadrol

From what I've gathered it seems like most cycles have test as at least a base, so what are solid stacks with non-DHT steroids? Would a cycle of low dose test and deca be good?
 
There is some dht conversion but that's with most steroids. Ment has zero dht conversion but you do not wanna use that your first cycle

do you recommend I just use OTC hair products to prevent loss? I don't wanna have to continue finasteride use after the cycle, and preferably not at all
 
Search on here, plenty of threads with detailed information.

Maybe look at SARMS as a first cycle, less sides.

The long term effects of sarms are completely unknown. Testosterone is the safest cycle you can run

I did run an LGD cycle recently, with pretty solid results. I gained about 10 pounds in 8 weeks. I'm just looking to make the jump to stronger stuff.
