My little bro who is 14 started lifting with me about a month ago.He is 5'6 and 150 lbs he loves working out and plays football, baseball, basketball.I was wondering if there is anykind of supplement that he could be taken that wouldnt harm him.thanks

I am in agreeance with Bio, i get that all the time at the store, those are your no fail foundations for your brother to be sucessful in his muscle building venture.

I work out with a 14 year old kid at my gym, he is taking cell-igf, ON and vitamins and has no sides to speak of. He weighs like 90lbs and is my height (5'9). I dont want to get him on some super high calorie or weight gainer but nothing seems to work. I just keep telling him that soon enough a spurt will come, and then the results will be soon to follow. Hope he doesnt get to depresed. He is a good kid, just skinny and weak as all hell.

ON meaning optimum nutrition whey or that fizogen ****? and whats cell igf? And why not a weight gainer, cyto gainer works quite well and its low dextrose equvalency on the malto makes it cool for the kcals, and has 58 grms of protein, and even more if taken with milk, have him drink that and he has no choice but to grow. With his metabolism if it is fast, should take that and use it quite well....

ON as in optimum, I dont anyone, no matter how old or whatever should take anything made by fizogen. Cell-IGF is some shitty knock off, creatine who claims to boost insulin levels, the gym owner talked the kids parents into buying it. I tried it and got only one thing, THE SHITS!!

yeah it sounds like a cell tech knock off to me, and i should beat the **** out of the owner of Fizogen with the STRAP !!!:whip:

revo... good call

the bodies of adults and adolescents respond entirely different to training stimuli. whereas adults experience morphological adaptations ie. hypertrophy, adolescents typically experience mostly neurological adaptations and experience minimal hypertrophy, although there is some. there is research however that shows resistance training in adolescents and children is extremely beneficial, especially pertaining to muscle strength, performance, decrease in rehabilitation time from injuries, as well as an overall decrease in the likelihood of obtaining a sport injury to begin with.

you're right, this kid will grow eventually, from his growth spurt that will be hitting him in the near future i'd imagine.

it's cool to see young guys like that in the gym busting their ass. makes me wish i would have started a lot earlier.

damn i wish i was 150 pounds when i was 14,. wheni was 14 i think i was right around 135 or so. lean, skinny as hell tho very skinny blah,, but now ive put on around 40 pounds since then 4 years ago. A decent amount of muscle but some fat. Blah damn me and my bad genetics.

Man, at 14 I was prolly 90-100lbs too

Ive always had a good feeling that starting out young creates a great foundation for training; and your body also "grows into itself" if that makes any sense. You can tell when someone worked out as a kid. I think part of the problem of me being so skinny is because I didnt do much physical activity other than soccer.
