Thank goodness I'm not alone in the slow internet department.

Honestly, I'm fairly happy with mine, and it's only uploading that's usually pretty slow. I don't like how I can't steam youtube HQ but that's my only other limitation.

My uploading is the only limiting factor.
 
For whatever reason, this webcam vid is like 5 GB. So that might have something to do with it. I'm pretty sure my phone videos are in KB.

Rep #10 of set one of Lilly bench I tried to cheat up and just throw it toward my head right off the bat, you'll see me flail to keep from being decapitated soon. That's a lot of pressing.

Brutal amount of pressing. I could barely do my front raises. I'd say that's an area that needs worked on. I always skipped on front raises in the past because I felt my shoulders were a bit rolled forward. Now I'm saying screw it, I'm going to do lots of front raises and even MORE rows, facepulls, and pullaparts. I REALLY want to bench 365 come Thanksgiving. I currently have switched floor presses for cgbp, might have to switch in dead bench instead.

I'm glad you asked. ;) I'll put up a video of how they look in a second. He showed them to me when I was down there, they're for deadlift lockouts. You'll see he started mentioning them in his logs on Juggernaut.

Both. That was a big fat chillin at home chew. The ones I put in at work are much smaller. I live in the country, where the nearest convenience store is 8 miles away and the nearest movie theater is a half hour away. But after about a 45 minute drive, BAM! You pop out the Fort Pitt tunnels and there she is.

I live in dense populated suburbia outside of Philly and have no close pl gyms, but probably 20 convenience stores within 8 miles...there has got to be a middle ground!

Lol who said there were any ACTUAL powerlifting gyms here? We have a douchebag gym with strongman stuff and specialty bars, we have a poorly run 24 hour facility with competition bars, and we have the shed. I much prefer the shed.

I guess I'm just jealous of the equipment at them then. I am at LA fitness and my gym getting a SSB was amazing to me. Plus smoker bought a Swiss bar.

There is a badass spot near me but it's personal training only. It would be perfect if it were open. Then there is Ironsport, but that is about an hour away. Hard to get there.

I plan to eventually go all Jim Wendler and have a garage with loud music and heavy weights.

The shed is badass btw.
 
I go to a gym which doesn't allow chalk, you can' t not wear shoes, and have pretty bad hours
 
You could go to Ironsport on the weekends and possibly approach the people at the personal training gym if you could train there without. Or get trained by a trainer. Or build the garage gym and start looking on craigslist or the Bargain Hunter or whatever secondhand sources you have out there. There are gym dropouts everywhere. I sold my first bench and bar at auction for like $5. We got it for 10, so nobody's feelings were hurt.
 
The overarching theme here is that it isn't hard or expensive to get all the tools you need to be a badass. However, it IS hard to be a badass.
 
Ok. So, the plan for December 15th is to get as huge as I can for as long as possible. Hopefully close to 235-240. Then, hold weight at 235 and make the cut to 220. My first open meet. Opening weights will be 495/340/485, subject to change based on how the meet cycle goes. That makes a worst case scenario total of 1320, and a best case scenario total of 550/375/545 or thereabouts for 1470. Main focus is to collect some 5lb prs and a pr total of at least 1400. That will come from improving my deadlift and bench press, increasing my work capacity, and picking my attempts better. If both my deadlift and bench improve, 1400 will be a walk in the park. Either way, if I don't get any stronger and I pick my attempts better, I could secure a 1400. If I get a lot stronger and pick attempts well, we should see about 1425.

Thank you! I usually have to spit for the first few minutes and then I'm g2g. Depends on how big the chew is, hence Work Size and Chillin Size.
